Little bit confused- I thought that you could investigate F= mv^2/r by rearranging the equation to v^2 = F/m × r where v^2 = y axis, F/m is gradient and r is x axis. Keep mass of bung constant, swing bung around and time 10 full rotations and calculate V using the appropate equations. Vary r (length) of string attached to bung to vary V, repeat to calculate multiple data points and plot v^2 against r which allows you to calculate F using the gradient. Am I wrong?

How would you calculate the mass of the rubber stopper? Let's assume the mass at the bottom is also given. Does mass at the bottom = the mass of the rubber stopper? Because mg = Ft = mv^2/r and re-arranging should give us the same mass right?

Hello thank you for the video, whats the purpose of the cylinder please? Is it to reduce friction or the string or something else?

is it also possible to state that the y axis should be time period, and the x axis being 1/m?
