I gotta say this us both simpler and harder than I thought it was going to be. I'm using a big Ole embroidery needle and some scrap yarn to learn this. Thank you so much for posting this great tutorial ♡♡♡

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I have been a shuttle tatter for almost 50 years. Decided to try needle tatting for the sake of adding beads more easily. Been pulling my hair out at not being able to accomplish a simple ring! Other instructions don't include the loop. I am now a very happy camper and have bookmarked your page!

I've been cross-stitching for nearly a year now, and I wanted a hobby which requires less materials that I can do anywhere - so, since I'm familiar with needles, I thought I'd give needle tatting a go! These tutorials are excellent; I couldn't follow the book I bought at all, so it was great to see you doing it physically. Thank you!

Thank you for your video's! Out of all the videos and directions, yours were the easiest for me to understand and also watch. Its especially great that you have a view of your hands that can allow the viewer complete view if your hands! I've been having a hard time with some areas but the way you both show iggt and explain it makes it 100× easier to follow. 👍👍way up to you!! Thank you again!

thank you so much for putting this online! I was able to research different lace techniques and look at all kinds of ways to make them on youtube. I settled on this style being a sturdy way to decorate clothes in my family. we are a farming family and i have small children, so having a lace that is sturdy and able to stand up to rough wear is much more preferable to something like bobbin lace that would just literally fall appart after hours of work.
thanks so much!

Thank you very much for the outstanding tutorial. I attempted numerous times to do shuttle tatting and gave up. I also like how you shoe wrapping the thread around the index finger only rather than alternating between the thumb and index finger. It is SO much easier! Thank you again!

Thanks so much for your very clear instructions and demonstration! I am learning this skill with the hope to repair a tatting edge on a set of pillowcases. Who knows what I will learn to do after that?! This is definitely a learning curve 😂
