The show ended with me getting up off the couch and checking if something went wrong with my telly

Something about not seeing the actual assassination and being forced to imagine what happened makes this scene so eerie

Great symbolism to include the football players on the wall, it reminds us that Tony never had the makings of a varsity athlete.

I'm glad Tony survived this attack and was able to post it on his YouTube channel

Breaking Bad Fans: It is TOTALLY possible that Walter survived despite being gutshot and having late stage 4 cancer.

Sopranos Fans: Tony's dead.

Tony dies of a heart attack eating his favorite high cholestoral food, onion rings. Now it's clear. David Chase could see the future.

Med’s parallel parking was the most stress inducing scene in this entire show

Such a sobering scene. For six seasons we watched Tony escape and overcome all odds while others around him died. Those that died were forgotten because we moved on, following Tony. Then all of a sudden, in a fraction of a second, everything goes to black. No sound, no movement, no anything. Tony's life, and our journey, ended just as insignificantly as any other person before him.

It is all there.
1. Members only jacket
2. Famous scene from Godfather to go get his gun in bathroom. (Tony loved Godfather)
3. Chris told Tony 3 o'clock(direction from he got killed)
4.Bobby telling Tony "you probably never hear when it happens"
5. Medow failed parking 2 times as two failed means two failed attempt to kill Tony and Thrid time it happens.
6. Tony in first season answer about death, saying everything goes black and thats it.

I was in a bar watching this show live when it ended. 24 years old I was. Now I'm a 40 year old man. This show is timeless.

that cut to black is more haunting than any explicit murder, arrest, or just goodbye could ever be

What’s horrible about this is that meadow came in right when tony probably got shot in the head. The aftermath of the entire thing would have been horrific. As for tony, he was chowing down on onion rings surrounded by his family and his last look was at meadow: his most precious creation. For him, it was a pretty good death. For everyone else, it was probably the most traumatic moment of their lives.

Nothing about the Sopranos ending is more brilliant than the fact we are still talking about it 16 years later.

You either die a Soprano, or you live long enough to end like Game of Thrones

This is truly the moment where Walt becomes Heisenberg.

I love how this scene is structured exactly like any other scene we've seen on the show where someone gets killed, in terms of building atmosphere and tension, except at this point the creators know that the audience is so caught up to the visual language of the show that it doesn't need to give you the punchline.

I remembered when the episode aired. A lot of people that were fans of the show were pissed. But a few seasons before the last episode, Dr.Melfi asked Tony what death would be like. He said probably nothing, just black. David Chase gave you the ending before the ending. The man is a genius.

Chase really put in so many references and hints that it could be anyone who clipped Tony (The guy going in the bathroom as a Godfather reference and the iconic ‘two black guys’” but it also shows Tony’s anxiety and paranoia eyeing everyone around him knowing something isn’t right and he, like the audience will never find out who pulled the trigger
