Hello, if you're trying to do this on more recent versions make sure you set the animation not to use loop (found on the animations within the projects folder), and if you're still having issues you may have set multiple conditions on the inspector of a parameter by pressing plus more times then once (It's what I did on accident).

I feel like I need to comment on an issue. First of all thank you for the tutorial: very helpful!


In my menu, how different "sub menus" are changed is by disabling the previous and enabling the next. With these animations on the buttons imagine a button was in its Disabled (animator) state: by going to another menu and turning back to the original menu where our disabled state button is located, it won't return to its original state when idle, or any of the other states (i.e: it will be on the idle state, but its properties will remain the same as if the button were in the disabled state).


For this to be fixed I had to record, for instance, a single keyframe on idle state with the original properties of the button.


I'm sorry if this was somehow explained and I did not get it. But just letting others know of this if they ran into this issue :) Nice coding everyone!

great tutorial. everything works fine but my pressed button is not staying still, it is going back to idle after press state. I want it to stay as pressed unless I click the button again I want it to go back to its idle state. any tips?

Can you trigger an animation from another gameObject when highlight the button?

Hey I know this is super old but I have an issue with this that Ive been looking everwhere to fix but cannot. In the video you are able to copy paste the first button and mouse over all of them up and down just fine. For me when I do the same thing they will do the highlighted anmation if I go from 1st button in heirarchy down but not going the reverse way. only the lower button in hierarchy animates and I dont know why. Any ideas?
