I'm going to teach you how to keep YOUR OCD HOSTAGE. I want you to feel like the boss. You've always had all the power, now is the time to recognize it.

What are you going to do to keep your OCD hostage? 🤪

The part that you mentioned where OCD attacks you when you're trying to heal was so realistic. Often when I'm not worrying about things my brain will go why!? Why aren't you worrying about it? What about this??

Every time when I feel I’m better, this is the exact thing happened every time, for health ocd

3:52 "Hello? I kept you safe this long!"
I always get this thought when I start to detach from the fears in my mind and feel "normal"

This really helped me today. Especially the scrupulosity. I’m going to hold it hostage by saying .”maybe, maybe not” sitting with anxiety, and staying present.

Your videos have helped my mental health immensely. I’ve never been diagnosed with ocd but gad. I’ve had crippling social anxiety, and a mean voice in my head that tells me everyone is paying attention to me or everyone is out to get me and I get stuck in an intense guilt and shame loop so when I found your videos it was life changing for me. I started trying exposure and response therapy and to my delight it has worked amazingly!!! It’s given me my power back! It’s given me my confidence back and released me from the chains of guilt! As soon as I have the money to I am purchasing your course! Thanks so much!!

You have changed my life, your videos make me laugh and make me see things from such a different perspective. Thank you Nathan!!! I would love to see a video on health anxiety ( hypochondria ) as I see this being so common among people including myself. Thanks!

Been trying really hard, but this wave of it for some reason stuck really bad, the anxiety is the worst part this time, your videos have helped me learn so much about this.

Excellent video Nathan! Would love a video on controlling your mind chatter immediately after you have done an exposure and you start having a barrage of scary thoughts and OCD tries to make you do the compulsion

Really really really good video. I especially like the last line "with OCD, your job is to face the unknown"

These days it’s under my hostage. It juggled me in my past for so long. Due to your videos it is fun to juggle ocd. 😍😁 I am loving it.

Great video. Currently about every 4th thought I have is a question that is fueled by doubt in someway or another. Sometimes it’s every 2 thoughts, and sometimes it’s one doubtful thought after another and this happens maybe 30 times a day. It very rarely stops. To anyone else severely struggling I hope you can healthily distract yourself, that’s what I’m practicing!

Sometimes it feels like getting better from my ocd is scary because it makes me feel like I'll be losing a big piece of me! Or losing my identity! I've identified with perfection for so long and felt as though I was able to achieve perfection in most parts of my life for years (which makes me question if I even have ocd) but as the years went on, after high school real life set in and things happened, such as, I became overweight for the first time in my life, I lost alot of hair from trichotillomania, I didnt end up going to college like i thought...and so nothing felt perfect anymore or the way I thought it would be. OCD really hates to accept change. It makes me hate myself when things dont the way I want them to.
