I had the hardest time separating what was my OCD and was was actually me. After observing my compulsive patterns especially when my OCD wasn’t as strong, I was able to identify what actually was my OCD and what was me. Now I try not to take it seriously and in fact talk back to it with an attitude haha.

I tend to apply logic to almost everything, so this is right up my alley! 😆

Please don’t ever stop creating content. You have helped me so much over the past year learning how to cope with my diagnosis. I don’t know about anybody else, but you can know that at the very least, your content has helped you save at least one life—mine. ❤️

I’m so glad you do this! I searched forever for someone who even understood. My doctor didn’t nor my therapist

I just can't wait to find piece from this. Between pocd and me fighting to believe In My Religion and friction occurring between what I believe in and what's happening in my mind and my life as far as my mental health, it's causing my mind to jump around in a thousand different lanes and ideas of what I may or may not be doing wrong mentally. I'm still dealing with a lot of the whole "what's true and what's false" jumbled mindset. Dealing with this is very exhausting. I just really hope that my faith and God will take this away and I also hope that the psychologist that I am seeing tomorrow is going to help me. I hope that they will have enough experience with the OCD that I am dealing with.

Every time I get a impulsive thought and it’s bad I try to fight against it in my head all the time and it’s been getting worse over the 9 or 8 years I’m actually in alot of stress from it making me hit my head or scream out especially when I get into relationships it’s on over drive!! And always off because theses thoughts are in my head and I get lost in my own head ! I gotta try this it’s my only hope!!

I’ve struggled for years and your content has given me such a new way of working through my issues. I love “Maybe, maybe not” so much that I’ve considered the idea of getting it tattooed 😂 Thank you for all you do and for helping me approach my OCD in ways that seem so clear now but I had previously never considered.

However sometimes if the OCD brings out a fear, and I don’t give an answer to it, I just have a hard time relaxing and feeling positive vibes. With psychotherapy I managed to address certain fears/certain beliefs and certain thoughts are less scary. Of course if the thought pops up repeatedly it’s better to not answer to it, but at least once I think it can be good sometimes to talk to a therapist about a certain topic to discard a certain thought/fear. For instance my husband is 20 years my elder and this brought me stress because I thought I would become an early widow… I came up with the answer that love goes on after death, that I can bring on his legacy, that the future is uncertain for everyone and that I could also get married again, should I want to. This helped me facing the fear of the age gap a lot

This guide was so good that at some point I went to my psychologist and told her why I was OCD, she refused to believe my symptoms made me extremely mad; then went to a psychiatrist and we figured out that I need permanent treatment with fluoxetine to stop my ritual!! Oh my
