This is a top 5 list of the best inexpensive pedal companies when it comes to guitar effects pedals. I don't work for any of these companies and this video is not sponsored. This is just my personal experience with these brands doing demos on YouTube. This list is sub $70 pedals and why I think they are great. I know this price/brands will vary World wide but this is what I think you should look for.

10. Rowin
9. Biyang
8. Tomsline
7. Delta Lab
6. Donner
5. Behringer
4. Caline
3. Joyo
2. Mosky
1. Mooer

I bought my Donner Yellow Fall direct when they first came out. I’ve never had a problem with it, and it really does sound great. Once you factor in the price, you really can’t beat it if you’re looking for something affordable to experiment with.

My first pedal board had a Joyo Vintage OD, a Caline Blue Sky and the Bi-Yang TriReverb. Terrific starter pedals and great if you’re on a budget. I’ve got the Joyo Dynamic Compressor on my board right now and I love it.

Agree with the list man. I don’t have a delta labs, but do have at least one of each of the other brands you listed and they all are great. My JoYo Ultimate Drive is probably my favorite, but I also have a lot of fun with a couple of NUX pedals (not on the list). Their Mod and Delay are great and seem to be well built.

You just described most of my pedal board.
Donner Tuner - Caline Blue Sky - Caline Orange Burst - (random volume pedal) - Nux Time Force Delay (which is the same as a Donner Black Arts) - Biyang Tri Reverb - Joyo American Sound
All good pedals, most impressed with the Joyo American Sound and the Caline overdrives. They may be clones but they sound really nice.

It's an insult. It's a slap in the face-companies asking 200.00+ for their pedals. A good circuit is just that, regardless of what a casing say's.

Good list Shane. Thanks.
I have had some nice results with some of the lower priced Electro Harmonix pedals too
They have some nice offerings under a $100 US

Great video! I've used the Biyang x drive as my main tone since seeing your first shootout years ago! I put it through a VHT special 6 and it sounds phenomenal. I favour this setup over my Boogies and always get compliments on the tone!

This list takes a look at pedals at or up to $70. This may rule out a few brands but if you think I missed any of your favourites please let me know! :-) Hope you're all having a nice week! :-)

I’m a pro player and former touring bassist for Motown group The Miracles. I’m a big fan of Joyo. Got a few of their units and very satisfied. I’d also add NUX to the list as well.

The Danelectro pedals, especially the FAB series are actually quite nice for cheap pedals and even thought the cases are plastic, they are still rugged and look cool. I use their FAB Chorus on my board, nails the Zakk, EVH riffs!

My cheap pedals include the Joyo Us Dream distortion(Suhr Riot), Caline Orange Burst Overdrive(Xotic BB) Caline Pressure Tank Compressor(Diamond), Joyo Raptor Flanger(Bucket Brigade), Biyang Tri Reverb. Can't say enough good things about each of these pedals.

Can't go wrong with a second hand boss pedal either. They aren't too expensive to begin with and the build quality is so good that they'll last forever.

I have a Biyang delay that I’ve had for approximately 10 years now. No issues at all except for a battery clip that broke (my fault, not theirs). Also have a Joyo and a Caline pedal on the way (thanks to your reviews!). I’ve built pedals for fun at different times since I was 12 (I’m 45 now), and some of these pedals can be bought new for half of what you can build your own for.
When you can it a whole pedalboard worth of pedals for what 1 fuzz box cost years really is a great time to be a guitar player!
