I am Austrian and when I was an exchange student in the US (countryside, PA) and my host family never understood why I wanted to go for a walk. They almost didn't let me go, but I cannot love without a Spaziergang! They were so afraid that I would be kidnapped or killed, but I just ended up seeing a bear and nothing else ever happened.

As someone from eastern Europe, who's just got home from a two and a half hour walk under heavy wet snow, there's nothing better than a long walk with someone close to you. Talking feels different, you're appreciating the view, and the satisfaction of coming inside your warm home after the cold streets. Amazing!
