The answer is wrong, India is a land of diverse people's . Due to our rich heritage and geography our favourite dish varies from state to state, as our customs and boli's. India doesn't have any national food so is it's official language, the judgement is yet to be made. So no worries we love our culture and this variety, let's enjoy out delicacies to our heart why fuss about what should be and what not.

Indian cuisine is actually all about khichdi, kitne sare popular dishes hai yr, bohat Sare log to curry cuisine k liye india ko pehchante hai, proud to be an Indian

Khichri is somthing unique to India.In fact Moroccan traveller ibn e batuta has described khichri as mid day meal of work class people of india way back in 1332

khichri, India has designated it as the "National dish", as it is being globally promoted by the Government of India as "Queen of all Foods". but in fact India has no national food lol

There is no specific national food in India, region wise everyone has a different emotion with there food. You can't say muligatwany is our national food. UP ka chat, bengal ka fish paturi, assam ka aloo pitika khar masor tenga, bihar ka litti chokha, rajhastan ka gatta ka sabji, gujrat ka undhyo fafda dhokla, south ka idli dosa uttapam appam puttu, punjab ka chole chole bhature, utrakhand ka rajmah chawal etc. And many more. Khichdi is something which everyone prefers to cook because it is easy to. Even outside India people cook khichdi.
