Show Up - I have a funny example of this! When I was in college, I studied abroad in the UK. I noticed the organization had a scholarship available, so I went ahead and applied. It turned out I was the only one who applied! Maybe the scholarship wasn't well publicized, or I don't know what, but I was the only applicant. I got $1, 500 that covered my expenses and allowed me to spend the fall break in Italy! Just show up, you might be one of few people there and it's all for you!! 😂😂

You can use any word to fill in that blank - be the friend you want to have, be the coworker you want to have, be the customer you want to have etc. That way you communicate clearly what you expect of people around you, what are your limits, what is important to you, and it gives everyone a clear picture of the essence of you. Psychologically it's probably focusing on the most important facets of you as a person, and when you have a clear vision of yourself, you start noticing similar people - and they start noticing you.
