Matching Stucco textures before painting.
Stucco textures.

For immediate bids, send pictures to Jay or myself at our sites below.

In this video, we explain how to match stucco skip trowel finishes.
Keep in mind there are three sand grits. Choose the right one.

The key to matching any stucco texture is the grit of the sand.
There are three sand grits: fine, medium, and heavy. So, if you can determine which sand grit was used, that’s half the battle. The other half is applying it.
Just remember the sorry of the three bears.

True. Nobody wants to do the hard work. I've been watching all your videos and doing it myself the last three years. Some look good, some don'. There's no replacement for expertise.

love watching your videos! I was able to completely redo my chimney on my home with your help. the old chimney mesh was wrapped around the corners and caused cracks and leaks. after redoing it all I have a beautiful flat finish that looks just like the professionals 😁

I've been doing construction for 19 years I know it's not a long time compared to some people but I've had my fair share and to be quite honest you are one hell of a dude such a positive person I bet it's such a pleasure working with you every video I watch with you in it just shows how much you love what you do and enjoy what you do and that's a great thing to see I appreciate all the help and tips that you do give because there's definitely a lot of people that think these are secrets but come on if you don't have to touch and you don't have to feel no matter how many videos you watched you never going to be able to do it I just wanted to say a lot of us appreciate these videos you put out it's definitely helped my game when it comes to the stucco even though I'm nowhere near as good as you but yeah you definitely saved my ass a bunch of times and I do really appreciate it thank you so much man keep up the good work and I hope the best for you

I agree with that other guy that commented it doesn't take 15 years to learn lace texture. I patched a section of my wall and it's really quite easy after watching a few videos and their technique. The hard part is matching the color 100%. Maybe it seemed easy because I have done alot of drywall mudding. I don't know.

OPCMIA local 67 Detroit, 1998.- 2009. On my own since 2010. Don't do much stucco anymore. But, drywall and traditional wet plaster keeps me busy. 👍🏻 x 2 = 👍🏻👍🏻

You told that secret. I knew that was fine sand to get the lace pattern. People think one word = Lowes. You need to go to the specialized yards that sell those products. And they are much cheaper than Lowes and Home Depot.

The irony of watching these videos to learn for one off DIY Kirk "it will take you ten years to get good at this" DIYers "Well, it is a three day weekend"

How's it hanging Kirk ? Love watching the videos it's good to see a fella on top of his game. Can we get more of your brother Lou in the videos as mixing it is half the battle and would like to see how he does it . Keep up the super work need to get me one of those shirts 👍👍

Great video as always. Skip troweling or as we call it here in Florida texturing cant be learned from a video. Takes years of practice. I generally slightly float all my walls. The raised sand finish grabs my texture. Ends up being a pretty lace. It's nice to see another craftsman at work. On to the next one.
