Chef Michael's excitement when Jen pulled the lobster out was like serotonin for me. Love the judges showing their support for the contestants.

Chef Michael is so gentle when he moved the mushroom to its rightful location.

After watching the American version and then being recommended this, it’s hard to go back. These judges actually offer constructive criticism instead of personally insulting the contestant. How refreshing.

"You're a savage becky, you're a savage" "You're a machine Jen, you're a machine"

The triple dessert challenge was nuts. They were both so good. I kind of wish the judging was part of this to see how they made the call.

Jeremy's fish cuts definitely stood out. Not only did he know the proper technique to make the final cuts, the guest judge immediately took notice of it.

Thats hilarious how she was so happy for getting oyster out of that shell. Truly shows that when you have passion even most trivial things can make you happy

Everyone is so encouraging and gently, what is this show even?

Chef Alvin seems to be like someone who would over chew on jello.

Master Chef Canada had the most compassionate judges and competitors. Chef Alvin specifically is my favorite. He tells you what you did wrong and tells you how to fix it. Now take a look at Joe from Master Chef America, he just insults and belittles you with no actual critique

Imagine spending 35 minutes of intense cooking just to have 3 little bites of oyster

- Structure, taste, presentation... textbook!

"Thank you chef"

- No, what I mean is it tastes like a textbook.

I love how the Canada judges focus more on constructive criticism than goofy reactions for viewers.

Why does Sabrina wait for Alvin to say "go" to fix her hair? She could have taken care of that before she was on the clock....

shows like this are so goofy. it's like "IF I DONT PUT THIS SPECIFIC LEAF ON THIS SPECIFIC MILLIMETRE I WILL IMMEDIATELY DIE" meanwhile everyone watching at home has probably eaten the same thing for the past week

The amount they overdramatise these tv shows is comical
