There's a lot of misinformation in this video:

Yellowstone regularly experiences uplift and drop around the park, and is not really a cause for concern. Yellowstone's impact in the scenario of an eruption the scale of some of its worst eruption will be drastic locally, but a far more likely eruption would be much smaller in scale, as the hotspot has only produced a few eruptions of 8 on the VEI.

Evidence suggests that the impact of the Toba eruption had limited impact on humans at the time, as for the most part, since most if not all humans at the time were hunter/gather groups, not settled agriculture based societies.

Paektu is likely to have a more limited impact and is far from likely to destroy building and "Kill millions in Japan." It will be a disaster locally in North Korea, absolutely, but that is in part due to an underdeveloped infrastructure and a very limited amount of tenable land even before the eruption, relying heavily on imports from China. Paektu is also a volcano that can be explained via the Pacific Plate's slab stagnating under the region in a very interesting fashion, causing it to be the only volcano that is not directly explained by either hotspot volcanism (think Yellowstone or Hawaii) or subduction volcanism (think explosive eruption volcanoes like Mt St Helens or Mt Fuji).

Overall, this video does a lot of unfounded fearmongering, especially towards the end where it suggests that all the supervolcanoes could erupt at once. Yes, techincally they could, but Antartica COULD also melt completely tomorrow. Yes it COULD happen, but the likelihood of even just ONE supervolcano erupting in your lifetime is ALREADY extremely low, nevermind multiple happening at once.

I lose a lot of respect for videos and channels like this one that play up the worst-case scenarios like this, despite the actual reality that it is not only extremely unlikely for the worst-case to ever happen in your lifetime.

He forgot to mention the Campi Flegrei supervulcano. If that thing erupts... you could say goodbye to pretty much a third of europe. Hell, unlike Yellowstone, which is a park, Campi Flegrei is pretty much surrounded by cities, so you could calculate around 2 milion+ instant deaths (if there's no efficient evacuation)... not to mention the tsunami it would cause.

That aside... Yellowstone's magma pocket was reported to have actually been reduced in 2020 or 2021. It's also very unlikely that if Yellowstone did go ka-boom, it wouldn't be a full force explosion. It could be half power or less. I think the highest they're expecting is actually around or less than seventy-five percent.

Any one of these volcananic eruptions very likely weren't at full power. I imagine if they were full power, especially with how often these seemed to all go off, we'd still be at around Bronze Age status, maybe even earlier.

I live in Montana. I used to be so scared of Yellowstone to the point I made my self have extreme panic attacks but after excepting what will inevitably happen I’ve gotten used to the fact I might die from a volcano one day.
