What if you use Avada Kedavra in front of your professors..?

Avada Kedavra in the books/movies is a big no no spell, it's weird that the AI doesn't even care about you using it.

I feel we got spoiled by open world story games that felt like your decisions actually mattered to the world, and people would react to you differently depending on how honorable you were..

Haven't got that feeling from a modern AAA title in too long.

The only time i got a reaction from casting an unforgivable curse was from Poppy Sweeting.
When i used Crucio she said something along the lines of "i really dont like it when you do that"

Professor : *"I missed the part where is that my problem"*

They should’ve done more when the decided to put in the curses. I’m glad they did n all but there’s no consequences for using the 3 unforgivables.

Edit: for everyone saying they’re not illegal during the time you can put Sebastian on trial at the end of his quest. Theres also a part where his uncle threatens to go to the headmaster when he sees him using impirio. Like it’s still illegal as hell guys

The enemies reacting reminds me of how once you get really good powers in AC Odyssey, the enemy AI starts freaking out and saying stuff like, "IS THIS A GOD?!?!?"

I think the easiest solution to scenes like this would be that your character would quietly say to themselves that he/she can't risk using the curses while the professors are around. Sucks if your build relies on the curses, but by this point, you have so many other spells, upgrades, and ancient magic that you can still slay easily without the dark arts.

If they'd put in the three forbidden curses, they should have done more to add to the mysticism of it instead of making it a 1-shot spell hidden behind optional quests.

They shoulda had a bigger consequence to the dark arts and added more evil options… but on the other hand.. u can summon ancient magic that disintegrates foes, light people on fire, and throw carnivorous plants so… a painless killing curse really isn’t that bad in comparison I guess

But again, I guess it’s just for the freedom of being able to use them in basic combat as opposed to punish the player for using them in wrong situations.

Besides, you’re harming those trying to kill you, I think it’s excusable in that circumstance.

I had to laugh when the bad guys talked more about your curse usage than the professors did.

From the playtrough I've seen, I would say the game needs at least a dark path for the mc to follow. All choices you make end up being good or good with a bit of edge (spoilers: including the ending).
I guess we all wanted to make an evil wizard and got disapointed when we see the game not reacting in any way to using unforgivable spells, or that the darker choices we have don't really affect anything. Even still, this game is absolutely amazing.

I wonder if it would be best to like make a different Storyline approach to the main quest is you decide a Darker Path, like being Expelled and running away or maybe smthng to the same extent as Sebastian.

Lets be honest. The things the Protagonist is doing to them with his other spells and the ancient magic stuff is way more brutal than any of the curses XD
