To pump out its famous flavors like Half Baked and Cherry Garcia, Ben & Jerry's Vermont plants run 24-7, operated by hundreds of workers and flavor gurus. Business Insider visited the St. Albans factory back in 2019 to see how these iconic pints flip their way to our freezers.

“The company doesn’t want it going bad in the back of your fridge” bold of you to assume it makes it there. Usually it goes straight from store to stomach.

I think the real reason they don’t sell a gallon is because how expensive it would be.

For everyone saying it's overpriced, that's because it's all ethically sourced and this product is made in America. Other brands outsource their labor which makes it cheaper. So if you do buy this ice cream, all the money is staying within the USA :)

huh, that's weird. they don't show the part where the crack cocaine is added.

They make 100 flavors a year and narrow it down to 4, which makes me believe my favorite flavor of ice cream probably existed only to be thrown out

I work at the Waterbury factory, the picture they attribute to St. Albans is actually us. I’m a mix maker, didn’t know I was a “Mix Master” until this video.

"Ben & Jerry's is worried the ice cream would go bad sitting in the back of the freezer" - Trust me it wouldn't.

I’ll eat a million pints a day if I ever find that factory.

Ben and Jerry's are producing nearly a million pints a day.

Me: takes me 24hrs to get out of bed, another 24hrs to start doing something productive.

“They don’t want it to go bad in the back of your freezer”… like I would ever let that happen lol it’d be long gone by then! Their ice cream is the best.

It’s incredible how everything is made and processed to get to our local markets. I never realized how much work gets put in into every single thing in the store

Love chunky monkey. But I’m discovering other pints that come close to number one Americone turned out to be a delightful and unexpected surprise - wasn’t sure I was going to like the cone part - and it really makes this flavor. Loved seeing the care Ben and Jerry’s takes with this Ice cream
