In regard to cleaning: it is advisable to dismantle the Aerocat every week, and to place the 4 parts in a container with lukewarm water with a drop of neutral washing-up. Soak for 15 minutes and then rinse the parts thoroughly, and let them dry. It is important not to a dishcloth or something similar. This can create a static field in the chamber through which the medication adheres to the chamber, and can not / badly be inhaled. Cleaning is important because in the long term the residue of medicines adheres to the walls of the chamber, so that the medicine cannot be taken sufficiently to the cat because the medicine can adhere to the residue.

This video is by far the most helpful of all that I looked at. I was so scared to try this procedure on my asthmatic cat not knowing if he'd cooperate but I got lucky and it turned out to be no big deal. He did fine and wasn't bothered by the mask or breathing into it. Thank you so much Brynn for this helpful video with all the tips. Very grateful.

That cat was just relaxing no problem. How can I teach my cat to chill out because she HATES her inhaler and fights me and it's awful. :(

If the medication is dispensed and the cat doesn't take a breath right away how does the inhalant get from the tube into the cats lungs? I don't get the use of such a huge tube.

My cat just received his but unfortunately he is very afraid of the puffer...he is unwilling to have the mask part of his face...as a result, we have ended up with scratches all over our arms. Is there a way to get him to take it without scaring him? We haven't been able to give his medication properly due to this issue.

Why fit the mask after the inhaler has been shaken? You didn't show the button being pressed on the inhaler: When do you press the button -before (when it won't freak the cat out, but some vapour will escape) or after?
