Thank you! Finally someone says “I like where I live. I don’t want to change my house.” There is something special about feeling satisfied and contented with one’s space. A designer that helps a client feel those things is worth their weight in gold.

The ONLY acrylic organizers that MIGHT be a step up are the sealable ones for storing things like flour, sugar, etc. Way tidier than the crumpled bag (that it comes in from the store). Less likely to spill, stays fresh longer, and less likely to attract any errant pests. But... the same thing could probably be accomplished by reusing the containers that OTHER foods come in. That GIANT clear plastic bin of cheese balls? The one that mixed nuts comes in? The one that the salad greens came in? Wash those out and reuse. Kind of like everyone's grandma had her mending kit in a Danish Butter Cookie tin.

For me the worst with the acrylic packaging is when people repackage their laundry detergents and cleaning chemicals into acrylic packaging! Those opaque, safety sealed containers they come in with the warning labels and poison control numbers on them are like that for a reason!

Another big problem with pouring your acidic orange juice and coffee (And especially soda) into new containers is that the brand packaging has specialized coatings on the inside to protect the product from spoiling.

It's not only the best-before-date you lose when you transfer juice and stuff into those sensless plastic containers. You also have to drink everything in only a few days because it has already been opened. You can't really store it anymore. You don't reduce waste and you have to wash the containers every single time...

Your local thrift store is 100% full of baskets and trays made of natural material that are all $1-$10. Go get those. Trust me.

I appreciate your honesty in admitting the differences between influencers and their money, and the average working American and their money. People get so caught up in achieving an influencer style life because they don't understand the differences in HOW money is earned.
