With this idea gaining popularity on social media, it seems like everyone thinks they have a long midface! But do you really have a longer midface ratio, or are you just confused? Even if you do have a longer midface ratio, have you found that despite all your makeup efforts to shorten it, something still seems off about your appearance?
The truth is, if you have a longer face shape, achieving harmony in your facial proportions involves more than just focusing on the midface ratio. Many people misdiagnose themselves with a long midface and end up using makeup techniques that don't flatter their unique features.

Me with my long midface but short philtrum 😂 I am "lucky" that my features compliment and balance each other (at least on this subject).
There was a time where I was obsessed with overlining my upper lip by smudging it (like Winter and Giselle) because I was insecure about my long mid face and I wanted to visually reduce it (with drawing lower eyebrows). It was my sister who told me that it looked weird and make my mouth even more prominent. One youtuber told me that it made my face look more interesting so I stopped worrying about it.

I had noticed that I liked how I looked with more eye makeup below the eyes vs above, and thought I just had weird taste. Now I know why!!

OH and this also explains why curling my eyelashes always makes me look older!! I was so confused by that!

I have a combination of naturally dark brows, hooded eyes, a slightly upturned nose, a deep and long philtrum, and a defined cupid's bow. Still figuring out how to make that all work harmoniously!

Makeup is great but sometimes it is just impossible to change your features with makeup alone so most idols get plastic surgery and fillers to enhance their visuals. I personally have very low and masculine-looking eyebrows, which I hate and I can't change it with makeup because my face structure so my only option is an eyebrow lift :/

if u have a long philtrum, try getting a septum piercing. it makes your nose appear longer and fills in some of the space of ur philtrum
