The fight between Bullseye and Elektra ends with him piercing her chest with her blade, but it only shows the blade pushing the back of her outfit out instead of seeing the actual blade. This is a nod to the comics that Marvel couldn’t show a blade piercing a body and still get approved. So, they showed the blade pushing the back of the outfit out as their way to prove that she had indeed been pierced all the way through.

Electra is such a jobber.. She has that whole training montage where she’s got the most elaborate training routine and she’s all kicking ass at hand to hand combat.. And then gets beaten hand to hand with her own weapon by a guy who throws things..

When pressed against a solid surface, like a human body, the material was able to be easily cut. But without that, the material was able to resist being cut.

It’s not a “BLADE”. It’s a Sai. Sais are not blades. They are more like pointed spike, just with a VERY sharp tip like a needle. But, the rest is not bladed like say…a knife or dagger. It’d be useless, with the two sides coming up the high. They were made to parry swords & thrust (stab)…not slice. There’s not enough there TO slice!
It is made Trap the sword between the center spike & the sides. Then, twist to create pressure, & the opponent can’t use their sword. They can’t draw it back to themselves. Once this is done, then thrust with the other. Or, if you can’t get…cross them up to block a sword strike.

I guess they could cut, using just the spiked tip, in a swiping motion. But, ONLY the very tip would cut anything.
Did you not learn ANYTHING from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, as a kid?? Sheesh!
