In this video we are going to recreate the handle we made in Fusion 360 to better understand the difference in the process.

In this video I am using the Beta version of Plasticity, but I speak to all the differences between 1.10 and the Beta version in the video. You can follow along with either.

Cool ! Good job. You use ALT J and DELETE to remove the surface, but using SHIFT X... You will avoid a step. Many thanks for this tutorial.

I love the way you explain stuff. I wish I had you as a teacher back when I was learning Alias at the college.

And I'm loving plasticity. I don't work with Industrial Design anymore, but this software helped to re-ignite the passion for design inside me, even as a hobby!

This was very well explained. A+++ for planning the explanation and sharing your experience with other software. Please make more videos on surfaces! Newer versions of Plasticity have a lot of new features that need to be explained as good as this one.

I also think that all the design that has gone into the GUI or Graphical User Interface is important - early days for Plasticity, but I actually like and enjoy Constraining sketches, Draft and Object Deviation software analysis, I like making professional dimensioned drawings and assembly BOMS with Mass and total mass summations - whilst Plasticity has some very fast tuned creation methods ( beyond doubt), other modellers aren't far behind at all - the slowest factor in this creation process is my mind and mouse clicks. I'm not going to ditch my experience and subtle training in modeller X for what Plasticity modeller Y is offering... The author Nick Kallen has tailored Plasticity for typically Concept Artists asset creation ( his words) and whilst 'Product designer's' can benefit from Parasolid modelling capability, the question of whether Plasticity will ever have all the other complimentary tools for product definition and recording, which is a long list of functionality built up over decades of program development in many competing programs remains unanswered. Plasticity does only what it says and nothing else.

very good 3d cad program! very, very similar to Design Spark Mechanical / Space Claim.... but Plasticity has a nicer UI, colors similar to AutoCad. However, a big minus of Plsticity!! - it has no power steering - SpaceMouse !!...what a pity!...I hope this will change in the future in the next versions of Plasticity.
