I Tried Norwegian Snacks For The First Time

Welcome to the first episode of 'Snack or Pass' (it's another snack tasting video). In this video I'm trying Norwegian snacks which means I'll be eating a lot of chocolate. I think this might be my 8th video in the series and the sugar rush still gets me every time. Happy Snacking!

The stuffing inside the Gullbrød is marzipan, which is made by grounded almonds and sugar. People either love it or hate it - I'm in the latter category!

The white stuff when chocolate is old or melted is called bloom, in case you were curious. It’s when the fats or sugar have separated out. The science behind chocolate is very cool. Tricky stuff.

To be fair, Sørlandschips is good but some of the flavours is a hit or miss. As for Hockeypulver some might use it on ice cream but when I grew up at least we just licked it out the box! Im glad you didnt take a big bite out of it.

As a Norwegian, I am so happy and proud that Perth really likes the chocolates we have! 😄 I am a sweet tooth person myself and I LOVE chocolate. Not much defeats the sweet and milky Norwegian chocolates 🥰

That was my biggest worry, when I thought about sending chocolates to Thailand. There is no way they come all the way from Norway to 40++ C heat and not melt. The last thing I want is to give my bias food poisoning. If only airmail would have a refrigerated option 😢
