m8 if you dont see the manage settings go to windows virus and threat protection-> windows defender antivirus option ->turn on periodic scan then ->just wait for me it work hope it help

I keeep seeing all these how to videos but I do not have exclusions once i select virus and protection it just shows no current threats there is nothign else to view there is no manage settings

For those which didnt worked... try this
Right-click on the file.
Select Properties.
Make sure you are in the General tab.
Press the Unblock button.
Click Apply/OK and exit.
The file will be unblocked.

I cannot find the “manage settings” link on mine. When I click “virus and threat protection” it takes me to a different looking page with no option anywhere to change settings. The only thing I see is “Microsoft defender antivirus options” and when I click that it only gives an option to do periodic scanning. I have tried everything and looked everywhere for a solution but I’m the only person on earth that seems to have this problem. For the love of God someone help me!!

When I get to the point where I choose my folder, it will sometimes give me the option to choose yes and when i click yes, it wont add the folder i chose. sometimes it wont give me the option to click yes or no
