I have both and there is one feature that makes the Classic the go to drone and that is the adjustable aperture. If you need to film at a fixed frame rate i.e. 25/50 fps without continually changing the ND filters, adjustable apeture is an absolute must, filming is so much more controllable.
I film for clients and always take both

You forgot to mention that the Mavic 3 Classic has an adjustable aperture which is one of the key feature of this drone as it will allow you to fly in different brightness conditions without necessarily using ND filters. On the Mini 3 Pro, you have to use this type of filters if you wanna keep up with image quality which means that you have to land the drone and change the filters each time the brightness conditions change. Pretty annoying to be honest. Of course, you can fly without doing that but then some of your shots will be overexposed as we were able to see in your videos.

one of the most important aspects of drone flying is the noise, especially high pitched noise.
This is something which becomes very important once you ACTUALLY start flying and you have to confront Karens...

Thanks for the honest review! Air2S here. Only reason I would buy the M3C is simply because it's really cool. Probably better in the wind. Big beautiful camera. Since I'm just an enthusiast and I fly for fun. the A2S does the job. Plus it fits in my camera bag with my camera body and 4 lenses. Oh, and it's paid for.

I have a mini3pro but its not good in high wind. I love it for traveling. But for work, i live on an island with high wind. So maybe the 3 clasic it is

OK My opinions having both drones.
The mini is quieter when going full chat but for actual filming purposes and at sensible speeds in sensible winds the classic is working considerably less hard and is near silent at over 15 yards or so away. What noise there is is much lower pitched and less frantic and for me at least I get less people looking up when I'm flying it compared to the mini.
Straight from the SD card the dynamic range seems better on the M3C with more details in both bright skies and shadows. Sure both drones can be tweaked to produce excellent results but I can take an image from the M3C and pretty much use it without feeling the urge to tweak it a bit.
The mini takes up much less room and is easier to travel with.
For me the big plus is the M3C is actually a joy to fly for flying sake. It is so stable in winds and swoops and rolls in the turns like an aeroplane whereas the mini appears to stay pretty much flat at all times and is less involving. The M3C is also much easier to see in the sky and can be safely flown further and still be easy to see.
Don't get me wrong if I could only have one drone and money was a real issue I would have the mini but if you can justify the extra and you don't need the advantages of a sub 250g drone then I'd choose the M3C.
So while I'm keeping the M3C would I sell my mini? No I think I have a place for both. Yes there is a huge overlap in capabilities and both win hands down over the other for specific uses so I'll be keeping and using them both.

Was torn between the mini 3 pro and M3C. Went with M3C for being able to handle the Texas heat and wind. Plus the camera options are better for work. Been using a Mavic Pro Platinum for the last 3 years prior. I think it was a natural progression since I’m used to the bigger drone and options.

Can see the Mavic 3 quality instantly, even on an iPhone. However, completely agree with your comments about usage in busier environments. People simply don’t notice the Mini 3 Pro and it’s IQ is good enough (and it’s a lot better than no shot!) The 48 MP photos are excellent with good light. In the UK, I can only really fly my Mavic 3 Cine comfortably in the wilds of Scotland, so I have the Mini 3 Pro for down South. That does the job well enough, but boy do I love the IQ on the Mavic 3! Great video - many thanks.

Great video and says it as it is, without pushing the M3C. What people need to remember that the price difference between the two after getting the combo kit and the care refresh makes the M3C almost twice the price! Lets face it, most people want to fly for fun and not necessarily make any money from their drone, therefore I think the M3P does beat the M3C on this front. if you have the money to burn, hell yes get one, but the cost does play a major role in peoples choices. I have the M3P, I would like also the M3C, but cannot justify the cost.

I sold my mavic 2 pro for the mini 3 pro and am not missing it for the same reasons as yourself. The mini 3 pro is so damn good, what they've managed to do with a sub 250g drone is amazing. I flew in my local town for the first time, in 6 years of owning a drone, and zero f*cks were given by people walking by.

My story: I purchased the Mini 3 Pro on release. I live in Florida and it gets super hot. The M3P does not have a cooling fan. It could not handle the heat here - I operated well within the operating temp guidelines. I sent it back within return window.

Mavic 3 Classic has a cooling fan and max operating temp is 104f so I should not have the issues seen.

Each person will have a different experience but that was mine and why I’m happy about the release of the Classic.

Ordered mine last night.

The problem for me is that the Air 2S has no C1 label and in Europe you can barely fly anywhere with A2 category. This is why I consider upgrading to classic 3, but the mini 3 pro is also tempting because of its smallness

I bypassed the Mini3 Pro for the Air 2S. It is the best Quad ever (In my opinion). Cant see much of a reason for the Mavic 3 since the Air 2S does 99% of what it does already.

It's absolutely true that your use case will determine what drone is best for you. In my case, the flight time, lens quality, and cruise control led me to prefer the Mavic 3 Classic. With my Mavic 2 Pro, I had to switch batteries too often. Also, when it comes to noise, most people pay attention for about 5 minutes at most and then move on. That gives you 35 minutes to get good video with no disruption (like coming back home and changing batteries).

You didn’t cover obstacle avoidance, nothing compares to the Magic 3 Classic and that is why it is the one I will stick with. Thank you

I say it like this. If you don't have a Business I would pick one drone to do all the things you need but if you have a side job involving drones and you have any and all applicable licenses for your country then I would highly recommend at least one backup drone. I would hate to get on site and realise that the one drone that I do have is not going to get the job done and need to resort to drone B. If you can't afford another drone at the time of your business then one drone can do for now and if you already have extra batteries I would put money away for the backup drone.

Hello Robin, I have the Mini 3 Pro and the Mavic 3 Classic both, but I disagree with you and I explain why. Here in the northern part of The Netherlands It’s windy a lot. The Mavic 3 Classic is a lot more powerfull and certainly better in windy conditions, the camera is better for sure and here in Europe (not UK) the Classic having the C1 label is a game changer. You van fly it nearly everywhere you can fly the Mini 3 Pro. I also want to do some commercially work with it so for me it’s the perfect drone. But for traveling I will use the Mini 3 Pro more I think. So for me the right combination. Greetings from 🇳🇱

Is this a upgrade from an Air2S guy here. Is the Mavic 3 Classic replacing the air 3 or wait for air 3?

A good questions about dependence on properties compared to your needs. As always applies, it depends. Need more wind and gust resistance? do you need a class C1 drone that allows you more freedom to fly the drone "anywhere", do you need a camera that is better for night flying, both in image, as video footage?

This is not about a question aimed at the price, because a C1 drone has a higher price - one that is not. It's just about - what do you need? Are you willing to pay for it? That's what the whole question is about. I paid for this, because it gives me double return with possibilities, when it was comparison with not C1 drone. Go for it - pay for it. That's all! Thanks for a nice comparison with video!

Normally you can only get no difference in comparison of difference sensor size cameras if you put them into day light and normal situation. But you can easily see the difference when it comes to low light, sunrise/sunset, or any other slightly extreme condition. That's what your money pay for.
