Honest Review: Should I Buy The DJI Mavic 3 Classic? Love/HATE Relationship

I ended up going with the bundle and I purchased directly off Amazon. I prefer to do this just because of Amazon's amazing return policy. If something were to be defective, you can just file a return, order another one, and send the defective one back the same day you get a new one.

I have the mavic 3 classic with the Dji RC and the Rc Pro. I don’t seem to see any connection issues with the pro but have used the Rc with a few connection issues on the classic and air 2s. I don’t fly the air 2s as much as the classic now. But you’re spot on about the price of the rc pro. It’s crazy high for just a controller!

Thank you for your observations. I have an RC since it became compatible with the Air2S. I bought the Mavic 3 Classic 1 month ago. Frankly, I haven't had any disconnection problems with either drone so far. A matter of luck?

I have the RC Pro and just got the Classic. My dad has the cheap rc. I'll tell you that the RC Pro connection is much better and it's faster (better processor), feels much more premium, more ports, and it gets 1080p/60fps on it with the mavic 3's (the regular rc 1080p/30fps). The Regular RC is the exact opposite. And that's just what I noticed with my short time with it. Glad I didn't get that cheap crap of a controller, connection drops etc .

Thanks for the honest and very entertaining review. I keep going back and forth as to whether I should upgrade from my Mini 3 Pro to the Mavic 3 Classic. I am also waiting to see if there is an Air 3 in the offing. Cheers from Wisconsin.

I had that controller. I purchased it for my DJI mavic air2s, it disconnected from that drone too... the disconnect problem isnt the drone its that crappy controller. I use the the original controller with my Ipad and never had a disconnect issue again....

I have a mavic 2 pro (which I love!), but should I sell it and upgrade, I am not convinced, yet! You didn't mention the cruise control which seems a cool feature for novices. I also have a mini 2 and think the same about upgrading to the Mini 3 pro ! Guess it all boils down to usage and cost and you can only justify it if you are a pro and making money from the upgrade ! Maybe that's a good idea for another 'honest review' !?

Just put your video's on Micro SD. Screw the limited storage that DJI gives you and the hassle it creates for you getting your video's. When I get done flying with any of my drones I just pop out the Micro SD and download it to my computer quick. After you're done, either erase it and/or put the Micro SD card back in. I won't buy that crap controller whether it is the RC or the RC-Pro I am with you on just using either a sweet top of the line iPhone Max or spend around $300 for a iPad 9 and use that as your monitor.

Dont buy the mavic 3 classic. Save a few more bucks and buy the mavic 3 pro. You wont regret it.
