It all well and good but correct me if I’m wrong, most people can do hammer curls heavier than they can to do regular curls. So wouldn’t be easier to over load them by just simply keep doing hammer curls as usual.

I’m going to incorporate this. Typically I’ll change variations slightly every couple weeks or so. For example - regular curls for 2 weeks, then hammer curls for 2 weeks.

I just try to create stimulus as much as possible and prevent the body getting used to movements as much as possible.

Mind - muscle connection, as well as controlled negatives, will give you biggest gains, tho.

You will bulld more mass in that area with indirect training too. Such as neutral grip pull ups and rows. This will hit it with the biggest mechanical tension as thw loads are bigger. Curls are great for that stimulus with less fatigue but they will never create the same mechanical tension. A nice mix of both seems to cover all bases

Its literally easier to just do normal hammer curls and get more out of it 🤣

Neutral grip is stronger than supinated. Zottmans make sense because you're supposed to lower pronated... Which is weaker. You're not overloading shit with this variation.

The problem I personally have with this exercise is that I can hammer curl more than I normally curl so instead of the brac* being the limiting factor in this exercise, it ends up just being the bicep itself because I’m not putting enough tension/weight on the hammer curl part of the movement

I'm 60, working out for years...not a particular big guy because I don't lift or eat to bulk up. I have trouble with both wrists and it's actually easier for me to do hamner curls than standard curls. I also use cables and bands quite a bit. Anyway, good tip and this guy looks good and his presentation here is excellent. I Hate when guys are overly jacked when they're short and stocky. They look ridiculous. Peace...🇺🇸

That's actually a great tip! Makes complete sense.

One also needs to include developing the weakest elbow flexor the brachioradialis. This movement is using a lighter dumb bell weight and the movement is with the arm ganging down at your side but when you bend/flex the elbow your palm faces downward. This widens the biceps muscle belly’s. Start with a manageable weight 3 sets X 20 reps to avoid elbow tennis.

When I started at 15 years old, I didn’t know much about weightlifting. I just did concentration curls and they got huge

Working the Tricep muscle will also make your arms look bigger.

Stagger those feet a little, soften those knees a bit, get a nice base of support. You don’t wanna stand straight up like a popsicle.

And keep the weight closer to the body (by keeping the elbows back). That will take some of that excess and unnecessary force off of lumbar spine.
