Thank you! This video was really helpful. I like the way you explained the purpose of everything and at the same time showed it to us in video.

For the price 500 bucks you can’t beat that other models are over 1700 bucks

As for how well it does in snow, we’ll never know.

It only states how wide the auger area is on web sites? What is the width of the chute opening?

This would be a good gift to give someone that is at risk of heart attack from shoveling assuming that it is affordable to buy as a gift.

I wonder if I have to keep the battery out of the cold for storage

Thank you for reviewing!
No Tab to pull or anything for the lights to work?

Just used today and that switch does not work, full battery. The lights just won't come on sadly

*otherwise this thing is amazing - ordered the yellow one and they sent me this, Thank goodness!*

Is there more than one forward speed and reverse?

Bought a Ryobi (already invested in batteries) a few months ago. Hope I don't need it but we'll see. Best of luck this winter!

Just tried this out today. We had rain that turned to snow so it was a slushy mess. Pleased with how this handled. Had to run it in the slowest gear to keep the traction. Did a good job at the snow plow dump at the ends (circular drive) of my driveway. I do wish I could adjust the skid plates to hold the front up a little higher since I have a gravel driveway. One question: is it normal for the charger/battery to make noise? Didn't notice that when I first charged it from factory. Wonder if it has to do with less charge on the battery to start?

For those of you with more modest physical resources, feel free to simply open the box, clear out the loose items, and then turn it on its side whereupon you can easily ROLL the unit out with minimum effort. But, if you missed going to the gym today, feel free to bend down and lift it out, maybe even do a few reps. Also, although there are no instructions to that effect, be careful to install the "lower handle" at an acute angle to the body (otherwise, when you attempt to install the upper handle you'll be practically on the ground; not that I did anything like that, just hypothetically speaking). By the way, those 'extra bolts' are not for the auger, they are replacement shear bolts. Oh, and when inserting the battery, be sure to insert it in the correct direction (lining up the contact prongs in the battery well with the holes in the battery).

That bag of extra fasteners are spare shear pins (it says so in the instructions).

Just curious about how you arrived at the decision to purchase this brand...is there little competion in a true gas-replacement unit? Thanks.

Have a snow joe 2 stage i find it is to light to have traction but too heavy to push thru the snow. I find the single stage is much easier.

The Ryobi single stage snowblower lasted for 6 weeks though I was able to get a refund from the store. Also I suspect that it died because it did not ice but an all metal design like that should be fine.

If it is defective it would be easier to return to the store that it was bought from compared to a gas powered one.

Do not eat the shaved ice that that snowblower shaves off of the driveway!
