I was looking for troubleshooting tips for transferring a huge program from one PC to another using a USB c high speed drive because downloading 300gb takes a long time. I stumbled on this gem of a video from 2014, did we really not know how to copy and paste back then? lol this feels like it was outdated way before they posted it. But it was probably saved someones ass a few times

This is of course very basic. But it won't work if you want to transfer a executable program (take Partition Wizard 11 for example).

This is a joke. You have to install the program in the hard drive

This doesnt tell you have to move programs to a new computer. Everyone knows how to just put files on a disc and back again.

No NO No, The program will not work because it was not installed into the Windows operating system and it will not know that the program is there. Do not be fooled to think that a whole program is in one file. If you want to load the program on a computer that is off line it will not work because that one file is just a link to the program's installation file in the cloud. What we need to know is how to get the installation file and all the progarm files in the cloud so we do not have to be online to install the program. This would be a better original backup.
