Jagex just tried to fix a huge problem

The OSRS game update today added the long awaited run energy rework into the game! They also made changes that somewhat fix Chambers of Xeric raid megascale boosting. Here's what it is and how today's changes affect these raids.

18:08 it ended up being Discord who shut down the boosting discords, they also went after ones for WoW, LoL, etc. One recently that Jagex did do was the takedowns of many OSRS private servers, likely for their project zanaris

My brother and I started playing on the new year and we were questing the day before the update and man did running feel awful. Saw the update and been running around since, it feels so much better.

The run update is a direct result of a large amount of feedback that new players have given jagex over the last few years regarding why they've not continued to play. Many have complained that the early game was too slow. The owners of Jagex need to see the new player base increase, hence the desire to listen and act on new player feedback so drastically.

The way megascales worked, was you'd have a team of 3 or 5 people actually doing the raid in a very highly scaled raid. These 3 or 5 people will get so many points that their personal points would cap (and switch to saying "Lots!"), while continuing to make the team points go up.
Then right at the end of the raid, those 3 to 5 people all leave the raid by leaving the cc. This makes their personal points get removed from the team total, but because their points were capped, only that value got removed, meaning the excess that they provided to the team points remains.
When the raid is completed, the team points are what determine whether there is a purple, and the personal points determine who gets it. Because the people with the majority points all left, the person remaining with the majority points has a massive chance at getting the purple.

Boosters were able to boost 3 people (2x 65% and 1x ~50ish%) in about an hour and a half, getting 500+m per purple they provided

you'll still want stamina for zalcano. its not for just doing it, its for when u accidentally step on red. It drains a ton of run when you mess up.

One thing I think they should implement is to make the pool in the While Guthix Sleeps restore energy like in the quest.

Also idk if you do your bloodvelds with cannon in Meiyerditch Laboratories, but used need a stam sip for there and no longer do anymore :D
