Folstag is so helpful idk what all the bad vibes were about in Fall of the Trident!

In this scenario, Kastor heads north to Midgard, where he meets Folstag, king of the frost giants, and teams up with him to take down the founding titan, Ymir.

"I wish we could have brought that Guardian with us"
Man you know you're a terrible strategist when flippin' AJAX is the voice of reason in your party... xD

I remember if you prevent the titan from destroying the first base, the enemy won't build anything themselves, so I went straight there and killed the troops, and froze the titan.

Then I just did that while I boomed, build a bunch of villagers and invoked Ragnarok.

No nidhogg needed.

Have seen a strat for this one where you use your heroes to go and destroy the enemy as they build their base. Basically means you only have to deal with the Titan which is...pretty damn good.

Also random - the reason why Nidhogg is so good against the titan is it does crush damage which the titan has less resist against. So yes, you can also do a lot of damage by using rams.

You can say this is an Attack on Titan.

Funny how in the original campaign, King Folstag is clearly not a nice character. Yet we have to ally with him here and he seems pretty...chill. Actually caring about the villages, rather then yeeting them into the river.

In the original, I remember Folstag couldn't pick up relics because his name didn't have (Hero) in it

You should also just be able to go fight Ymir right from the beginning.
Freeze him first asap, kill all other enemy units second and then build production nearby to keep training ranged units and heroes, mainly trolls and godi. Use a healing spring or two so the main heroes can just keep tanking and freezing. As long as the first village isn't fully destroyed, Ymir cannot build his own base. Your own town center is low priority, so sending just one Berserker there is enough.

I played this two days ago on Moderate and I kinda won... before Nidhogg arrived, with a few minutes to spare actually. Folstag's breath with a few Frost Giants and Hesirs to hold the Titan in place with about a dozen Godi whittled his health down so fast. So I'm gonna do this scenario again sometime and try to it the way the mission was intending and hold out against the Titan untill Nidhogg arrives. Godi seriously are very powerful. I didn't even bother going to Mythic Age, I won that easily for my first time on Moderate.

This scenario was really fun. Having a full view of the map and seeing the progress the Titan is making as it moves from village to village. I kinda guessed Folstag would be our ally in this scenario, though he was my second guest after Skult/Loki, but it's nice to see him finally introduced and fighting alongside him against the Titan.

It's funny how easily cheeseable this is, there are kind off 3 ways to beat it, 2 of which are cheese-ing. Basically freeze the initial enemy with the God power, kill all the units around the Titan and boom, you have all the time in the World to build up and kill the Titan at your leisure. Second is by just build village centers, get to 100 (100+ if you cheese your armory upgrades) vills and ragnarok and rush down the titan with the now army of heroes (+Godi you should've trained before Ragnarok). Lastly, the normal way, wait for Nidhogg, though you really need to be on your A game with freezing the titan.
Alternatively, as others have been saying, combine the first two and get the easy win.

The Lesser Titan Ymir, but Founder Titan Ymir was not Lesser Titan.

I feel like this was a missed opportunity to go for Ragnarok and simply rush the titan with it.

It's actually pretty easy to kill Titan before Nidhogg. You have to kill the Huskarls that build Reds base at the very beginning and then Red won't even build a base. You can prioritize 100% on freezing then attacking titan. Once you hit Mythic you can Ragnarok and it's over. Get a ton of Godis beforehand and I killed him with 8-10 mins left on the timer. The key is sniping reds army early and even on Titan it's easy af

I always rush in hard, and rush in titan in EE version once.

Wait, wasn't Folstag the one that destroyed the cattle in Fall of the Trident?

Trying to slow the titan in time for the nidghogg is a challenge indeed
