Brendog may not have won the event but he Won the hearts of thousands. His total package is my idea of real Red Bull Rampage.

Every year Brendog wins the hearts and respect of true big mountain freeride fans and every year he gets screwed by the judging which actually increases his media appeal and value to his sponsors. Monster should chuck some extra cash at him for turning down that can of Redbull. People’s champ again Bren

So he builds a unique line that no one uses full of raw and exposed features, even pays tribute to Jordie by finishing his drop, executes it flawlessly, completely embodies the meaning of freeride and doesnt even get a wow

RBR needs to decide what it is; Big mountain freeride or Slopestyle event.

Only true innovative freeride I saw was Brendog.

Yup, Brendog definitely got robbed. The most unique, raw, big mountain line. Bummed for those guys and there hard work.

Judges have made it clear: Rampage is a slopestyle event not a big mountain freeride event. RIP Rampage. Seeing Strait have to pull out the single crown ought to tell you everything about what Rampage is about now.

I mean.... Brendan's 70s score felt like a double middle finger to him and his fans. That line was sick and way more unique than any of the others. The fact that that hill looks like Matt Jones' playground at this point kinda says it all.

Brenden Fairclough rides the only freeride line in the competition against a bunch of perfectly manicured slopestyle lines and gets penalized. May as well make Rampage part of Crankworx.

Brendog transcends the judging 🎉 such a sick line from him!

damn, brendog was robbed 100%. The technicality of his run was insane, and the judges shrugged it off for "looking too easy". TF???

Brendog again shows the true spirit of Rampage with the most natural technically difficult (and with the most consequence) to ride track with a couple purpose built trick jumps.

I was there!!! 3:27:08
and it was simply shocking for me and for many from below to see Brendan Fairclough (Brendog) with his bike on that rock the size of a car, almost posing as if it were a gargoyle (we were all screaming). For me, one of the best images of this year, it deserved the People's Choice Award and also a score worthy of a podium.
The judges should not only grade the tricks, they should also give value to the new challenges that the riders face, even if they do it perfectly and it seems easy from a chair and watching a monitor.

Scoring is too heavy on the tricks, if i want to watch trick runs i go watch crankworx, which i already do.. Brendog's line was raw and technical af, should have been scored higher

Judging getting worse every year, Brendog was robbed even worse than last time and he was the only one with a freeride line!!!! What an absolute joke.

Brendon was first in my heart but Godziek got robbed big time

Firstly, this is taking nothing away from the riders…they do what they do and its nuts!
But looking at Brendog vs Semenuk its pretty bloody obvious that the judges are only interested in tricks…the actual lines, exposure, creativity seem to not carry any weight in scoring…
I mean the Red-bull description of this video says “The world’s toughest big mountain freeride mountain bike competition” ...but that's not reflected in the scoring.

Compare the two…
Brendog - Nose manual off start ramp>unique janky start section>disgusting technical and exposed cliff chute>step-up, another step-up onto rock feature...full exposure drop off>No hander trick jump>Backflip over canyon gap!!>Finished and rode the Jordie-drop>Another huge backflip!

Semenuk>Manual off start ramp>Same start line as others>Truck-driver jump>Backflip-one-footer over step down>One footer over hip>Flat spin>Few straight jumps>Indian air>Opposite tail whip onto lilly pad>Huge flip-whip!

Both crazy good, but one was the definition of big mountain freeride the other was essentially slopestyle.

Brendog turning down the Redbull was legendary

Semenuk honestly seemed like he didn't really think he deserved the win during his interview. Regardless of what you think about the result, that's a pretty humble dude

What a joke! Brendog's excuse for not getting a higher score is he needed Amplitude, Amplitude and Amplitude. Comes Godziek and takes Amplitude to another level until Semenuks does a tail whip, and all the judges freak out. Please be f@#$ing consistent. We are going to start thinking that the passport that you carry decides if you can win or not.
