2020 Nissan Sentra SR Review by The Straight Pipes. The Nissan Sentra SR is pumping out 149hp and 145 lb-ft tq from a 2L 4 cylinder engine. Sitting at $24,498 CAD, would this be your pick over the Toyota Corolla, Honda Civic, Hyundai Elantra?

I'm sure they're not as fun for yall, but I love the 'practical daily driver' reviews.

I have this exact car and yes, it’s definitely not fast but it’s not as bad as they make it out to be. No problems merging what so ever. This car rides amazing and completely exceeded my expectations. Not to mention it’s the best looking car in its class. Very happy I picked it up

This just makes the civic and corolla look amazing. Better engines, more power, better transmissions, suspensions, reliability, etc.

It looks so much better than the outgoing model. I drove a 2019 sentra from a rental company and it was painfully sluggish. I don't expect it to be fast, but the sheer lack of any response when you stab the gas is very disconcerting when you need some passing power. My 30-year-old Miata is down 35 hp on the Sentra and it feels WAY faster off the line and up to 70mph. Hell, even my mom's dearly departed 2015 CVT Honda Fit was so much more responsive.

Nissan: exists
Everyone: splash, splash, your CVT is trash.

I just bought this car a week ago and I love it! I’ve owned many cars in my short life, and have had anything from a Honda Accord, to a Camaro SS. I watched this video before I bought it and was very skeptical until I drove it. It really doesn’t feel that slow, if you’re not trying to punch it. You don’t buy this car for performance, it’s affordable and good on gas! For $22, 000 new, it’s a great car to consider!

I bought mine 5 weeks ago for $16, 281 out the door. I only have 128 miles on it lol. I love it.

For an economy car it looks really nice, even the interior looks great; but the drivetrain is a miss.

I appreciate the "normal" car review. Just not THIS normal car. What a snoozer. Man, Nissan has completely lost the plot. RIP Nissan.

I just bought a 2021 Sentra and it is just fine both around town and on highway.

I just bought a car in this class. I was considering Sentra and really liked it, but the crappy CVT was a deal breaker. So I got a Mazda 3

There is lot of NISSAN bashing in the comments section primarily due to JATCO CVT transmission. I owned a 2010 (July) Altima with CVT and sold it in 2019 Sept (as I left the county I was living). Never had an issue with transmission. The only time it broke down was when there a fault in the steering lock system (electronic bug). Other than that it was just periodical servicing, tire and battery replacements. Did slightly more than 170, 000 kms by the time I sold it. Really enjoyed driving the car.

Hilariously, I still have my ‘04 Sentra. This new model is like a spaceship to me...so many bells and whistles.

This car is a turbo engine and 6MT away from being a very serious contender in the segment.

I remember when Nissan was cool. I want them to make a comeback.

Let's all take a moment and appreciate how far compact sedans have come in the looks department.

My first car was a 95 sentra. Cost 4000 dollars. It was the shittiest car ever but i appreciate it because it made me into a car repair expert.
Now i drive a Kia, also bought used, but really really good.
