Video Recorded on June 30, 2021: Since my birthday is this coming Saturday, I thought why not start off a birthday week series (NOTE: This is NOT meant to copy anyone else who has come up with that idea, as this idea is meant to be inspirational and different). I'm sure you guys know already; Otis is my most all-time favorite elevator company. They have made the best elevators in the 20th century. Old machineries from that time period are reliably well made (like this one seen here in this video to prove an example) and are built to last forever as long as they are maintained well and cared for. Anyway, to start things off, we'll begin with an AMAZING old historic, vintage old Otis manually controlled elevator at the Asheville City Hall that I FINALLY get to see!!! :D Despite the quick ride I've gotten, this still came out to be a great video that I have gotten of these pieces of beauties. Sadly, these will soon be getting upgraded. :( Anyway, I hope you enjoy this video as we kick off in this birthday week. :D Installed in 1929.

Glad you got to ride these! It's really unfortunate they'll soon be no more

WOW I LOVE IT! Also yesterday I filmed the Schindler 300A Dock V at The Galleria. It has re-leveling issues and I got ALMOST busted.

Very nice vintage manually operated Otis elevator, very fast. I would be curious if the machine was DC with an MG or rectifier or AC. The signage in the cab, mentions Multi-Voltage which might indicate a transformer with varying secondary taps.
