How you do it is you use the item (that has the yes or no thing) while your rolling and use it when you see your legs up in the air then go to items use the estus flask then boom

It defo works in 2023, although it has to be an item that prompts you to say yes or no for using, so a boss soul is best, not just a regular soul item

I’ve been doing this glitch since before the Xbox 1 came out and I’ve always used a parry instead of a roll and it still works as of 8-29-23

Definitely still works while fat rolling on xbox 360 as of December 2023. The key is to use a boss soul that prompts you to confirm if you want to use it. This method also uses a flask each time so I recommend doing it next to a bonfire so you can reset flasks quickly.

NVM does not work only works for boss souls

IT WORKS IT REALLY WORKS YOU NEED TO USE THE SOUL WHILE YOUR LEGS ARE IN THE AIR WHEN ROLLING THEN USE THE FLASK I RECCOMEND FAT ROLLING

Ive done this hundreds of times and still dont have it down right even after getting it right many times in a row. Part of the problem is you get faster at it and actually press the buttons too fast and have to slow down. Especially between use and start. It also seems like the use should be pressed when you hear the rolling prompt possibly just before you make contact with the ground and your screen actually shakes. I look at one spot on the character but i still cant find a good tell yet. The characters head if you look carefully actually painfully whiplashes back and then forward. I know for a fact you have to press start during this sliding crunch moment when the head flicks back forward as if the character is about to get up and done with the impact of hitting the ground. I noticed if i press use and start too quickly i never get it. Even if I stall out when i press use.

25/10/23 PlayStation 3 vanilla disc version (DLC downloaded) and glitch doesn't work. Maybe need to try one more time or it really works only in PTDE.
