Dark Souls Remastered Soul Duplication Glitch [Console Version]

In this video, I show you how to do the soul duplication glitch in Dark Souls: Remastered. This video was done using the Nintendo Switch version, but will work on any console version (Playstation, Xbox, Switch).

This does work. On PS5 you use "R1" and "X". When you're pressing both at nearly the same time, the timing is very tight. I just did it a bunch and kept having to go back to the brightness option until eventually it worked. A bit fiddly, but it works. Thanks!

If you have more than 1 humanity in your inventory: doing the glitch will let you consume more than what you have, but, your inventory will be depleted. I found out the hard way

For anyone having issues with this. When you're on the brightness screen press down, not up. Make sure the item you want to dupe is selected. When you close that window also press down to go to quit. If you press up during either of these steps it messes the glitch up.

I'm on an Xbox 360, when I am at the brightness and inventory overlap menu. I press ok but it just brings me back to the inventory menu again, what's wrong

still works, thank God. farming in DS1 is a bitch.

side note, if you wanna go ham on souls dupe, drop your stack down to 1, dupe, pick up your stack, since the dupe uses everything in your inventory.

As of April 2024, this still works.
Console- PS4
Used glitch at undead merchant and Andre, so works in multiple locations.

The trickiest bit is the R1+X element on brightness, if it doesn’t work, keep trying. If you fail, you’ll most likely end up back at the use item menu, I pressed L1 to go back to the system settings tab, and I didn’t that quite slowly, so as not to mess up the other button inputs.

October 15th, 2024. The glitch still works. As others have stated, the timing is tight for pressing R1 and x at the same time for ps5. Just keep trying until you get it.

Remastered on PS4 here.
Yes, it still works- its just a very specific timing on those button presses. I find it hard to do but with enough time it works.

You the man! Did this today on ps5, remastered trilogy copy. I got lucky the first time and did it on the second try otherwise i may of got discouraged a few soul's took 30 tries. If you follow the instructions and work at it definitely still works

You can also buy the 999 arrows (can be any arrow but wood is best bcuz it’s cheap) and as the 1st step of the glitch select the arrows in your inventory, select “drop” and then go to your max amount of carried of those arrows and hit “CANCEL”.

You can then proceed doing the glitch as our fine gentleman explains in the video. It works and IS NOT PATCHED. I literally did it before writing this comment.

For it it doesn't work, im every time on the last step and when i press ok the game quit to the menu, and when I log in I don't even have the soul in the inventory
