Dont Dress Your Age... Do This Instead (Over 50s Only)

One style rule that I insist on is beautiful, healthy hair. If you love long hair, then, by all means, keep it. An outdated style rule is cutting your hair short when you hit 50. I actually chopped off my hair when I was 17 and rocked a short pixie from that day forward. Style is always about personal preference, right?! But I digress, as I’m partnering with Hair Biology today, and I love that their products are made to address the changes in your hair’s biology as we age so your hair can keep evolving with you! Hair Biology
believes that aging isn’t a disability. It’s a superpower, and there’s no right or wrong way to do it. Good hair days shouldn’t stop at 50; they don’t have to! And I love that Hair Biology targets common signs of aging hair like dryness, thinning, or greying.

Do you feel like you have less hair now that you’re a woman of a certain age? Are you always switching up your part to disguise the thinning areas? If so, try Hair Biology’s Full & Vibrant Collection, designed to meet the needs of your changing hair. It’s Infused with biotin, which is known to improve the body’s keratin infrastructure. Plus, the collection is free of parabens and dyes. It’s also safe for color-treated hair and specially formulated to be safe for color-treated gray hair. So, ladies, I invite you to try out Hair Biology today with my link, which is located in the description box. I know you will love them as much as I
do because Hair Biology knows women over 50 have the confidence, the means, and the experiences to do whatever we please, but with gorgeous hair!

Thank you for this!! I am 62 and wear crop tops. I work hard for my abs and feel comfortable, no matter what anyone says.

I'm new to discovering your channel and absolutely love it. I am nearly 76 and for the past few years, Iris Apfel has been my inspiration. So pleased to watch this particular video where you advocate "breaking the rules" by the over 50s. Thank you

Totally agree with you on this, Beth !! I'm 69 and I wear what pleases me and makes me feel good. As I grew older, I changed to Bermuda shorts, prefer a bathing suit to a bikini, and like my skirts about kneelenght or longer. Otherwise, if something suits me and makes me feel good, I'll wear it. My hair is still full and healthy. I stopped coloring just before covid and it's a light silver by now. I wear it about shoulderlenght. Live is a lot better without someone elses fashion rules.

Thank you so much for this video! I am nearing my 65th birthday and have just recently discovered my own style. I am no longer listening to that little voice in my head; you know the one( shouting to you " you can't or you shouldn't)I have finally kicked that out dated frumpy old lady and embraced who I really am! No more of my mother telling ne things like " you don't like linen" I wore linen just about everyday this summer! Since discovering you on youtube I feel so liberated. Thank you again and again!

FREEDOM!!! At 65, I still color my thick, shoulder length hair and wear current, colorful fashions that flatter ME. That is why I watch great fashion channels like yours.☺

I agree with everything you said. You are reaching so many women of a certain age. Your voice is so needed and welcome! I am not going to let some outdated rules dictate what I like to wear. Thank you, Beth!❤

Now that I'm over 50, I'd never wear midriff tops or micro mini skirts. I wore these until around age 55. Truthfully, some in their teens, 20s, 30s, etc. shouldn't wear those things, either.

I cut off my capris and turned them into Bermuda’s. Then I rolled them up and found I can more than pull off a a 5” or 7” hem. Sleeveless just looks awful and ages me, but my cleavage isn’t too bad. I have always love beautiful colors and can’t ever give up color(but I am an artist)! You’ve unleashed this youthful 72 year old.

I have long hair which I highlight (blending my gray/white hair), I’m tall and still have good legs so skirts above the knee look good on me as do shorts. I’ve put the 5 inch shorts in the beach only pile, but wear my 7 inch and bermudas all summer, spring and early fall. I happily wear sleeveless tops even though my arms aren’t perfect-they are “good”. Thanks for the tips and encouragement!

✨ I love this video! I think of Iris Apfel, she just turned 102 and she is ROCKING FASHION! Wear what makes you happy, looking good on the outside makes you feel good on the inside. Additionally I believe this also helps the younger generation feel inspired that aging doesn’t mean fading into the background and not caring about your looks anymore. I feel like as I age I get more confident in what I wear and I love it. ❤✨
I wanted to add your outfits are so pretty! The pink ones make your skin glow! 💕

I just say, of course, you CAN wear whatever you wish. However, you should wear what you look good in. What is flattering to you .

Age is just a number, there is no reason to look like your dressed in curtain fabric because you are over 50. Jeans and leggings look as good on us as they do on youngsters, and just above the knee skirts look way smarter and sassier than ankle length.
