The number of time they showed the flying squirrel specialist just shows how proud they are for that shit.

8:20 What I loved about BF3 and BF4 was that there so many weapons that felt unique, and yet most of them still felt viable while playing. I didn't have to grind for the best weapon. I remember unlocking the last assault rifle, thinking "ah, it just doesn't seem right for me" and then going back to the M16A3 or the SAR-21

I played 3400 hours of BF3. I've played 1900 hours of BF4 and it's still my go to game. They could have taken the core gameplay of BF4, have it the gritty look and feel of BF3, built it in a new engine and just fucking printed money. The desire to poach players from other franchises has absolutely killed BF as a game franchise and I'm not sure they'll be able to recover from it.

My issue is, Battlefield stopped doing everything that made them battlefield and started catering to the warzone audience, with ziplines and specialists.. Basically losing the battlefield identity now its just another triple A shooter. But lets be real here, At this time they know they F'ed up . its globally known this game was a big flop the devs know the directors know... im interested to see the next move . Another bad battlefield game and the company goes bankrupt

I just want to be an unnamed soldier in a battle with other unnamed soldiers. Not everyone has to be a hero, not everyone has to be a badass. I’ve never heard someone say “over watch is so immersive omg” because nobody can relate to the characters. Don’t even get me started on the designs of the specialists.

This franchise got as popular as it did because once they made the leap to console, it was a good alternative to the clownery in CoD. People bought it because it had that realistic feel to it, and didn't have any of the nonsense that Call of Duty had in it. There was nothing else on console that had any sort of realism to it, nor any real tactical elements. So what did DICE do? They turned it into CoD, which of course destroyed the game since none of the longtime fans wanted CoD, and the people that did want CoD, had CoD to play. Now we have Fortnitefield of Duty Legends, and NOBODY is buying this shit.

I remember when "Specialist" was just another role, they had C4 and shit. It's so sad to see this franchise kill itself. There is no imagination in the game design, it's just copying the competition with the Battlefield name slapped on it. Same thing is happening to Halo like you mention, Halo even has that same annoying issue where youre brought back to the matchmaking menu every game instead of just staying in the lobby with people like it was in the past! No wonder there's been a revival of games like Squad and Arma where people want to actually be part of a server community and not just a randy on the matchmaker.

I love how it’s so obvious that they don’t have any actual battlefield players working for them, and if they do they 100% don’t have a say in anything. Honestly if you just told them to remake squad but make it a little more arcady and with less of a focus on communication, you’d probably have the most successful battlefield game to date. As a battlefield player that moved to squad, I can tell you that’s exactly what I would want from the franchise, and after looking at thousands of comments under battlefield videos, that’s what a lot of people want as well. Specialists are definitely the main issue though, what I loved about battlefield is that you felt like a cog in the machine. Every now and again you’d do something really cool, and it would be emphasized as you had no real advantages over your average player. It was a compliment to your skill. I remember the days playing operation locker on bf4 when everyone would be trapped fighting hallway to hallway. I loved that feeling.

The "cover" they added is adequate to the cover a Squad Leader would put down in a FOB on Squad.

So tired of people being so content with mediocrity then we just get less than mediocre.

You literally took all of the words out of my mouth. Thank you so much for making this video. I’m glad I’m not alone about how I feel about this game and where the franchise is going. Just subscribed.

It's absolutely hilarious that this is the state of the franchise almost one year after the release of the game.
Very sad because this was my absolute favorite franchise growing up.

The sad part is that people think these are "impressive/massive" changes. It's like a very first baby step in a semi playable direction

watching this was just a sad experience, seeing the franchise I grew up with go up in flames like this is awful.

I miss the screams and terror you could hear in the soldiers voices back in previous BFs they couldn’t even do that in this game also I think operations would have been perfect for this game cause it doesn’t have a campaign, it could have been a continuation of the BF 4s campaign.

As a bf OG it honestly hurts. Right around the bf2 -bf4 Era IMO was the golden age

Battlefield peaked at BF4 (as much as i love bf1 4 just holds a special place) in every way, private servers, massive sandbox with tons of different ways to play and good map design. the "specialist" system they used with the field upgrades was perfect, pick a subclass within your role and help your teamates to unlock more benifits from the tree. Actually encouraged teamwork and had real effects!

I totally agree with you. The day they remove the specialist is the day I'll play the game but we all know they won't. The specialist are the main issue wrong with the game. Everything about them.

Love that when they throw a c4 on the tank it looks like the game either lags or glitches and stutters, in an official trailer for an update. god gotta love that
