Love a 2 stroke’s rapid fire exhaust note
Love a 4 stroke’s deep growly exhaust too

Both very different and equally awesome

Two strokes are finally coming back in style. Like ray-ban wayfarers, high rise jeans and mullets. Here we go!

Talked to my local bike mechanic who has been riding since he was 4years old, and working on bikes since he was probably 8 or 9, his dad owned the local Yamaha, Honda, Suzuki dealership whe I was avid in the 70's, 80's and early 90's
Darren told me about a year ago that the modern day four-stroke are Way More Expensive to do the upkeep ( engine maintenance ) than the two stroked are, and that just like the two strokes, the modern era four-stroke if ridden regularly and hard will need the top end done pretty much every season, except they have alot more parts than their two stroke counterparts, so it costs alot more .
Thus he said is the main reason he still rides two strokes .

I feel like 4 strokes are easier to ride. You can stay in a high gear and just twist the throttle. Where as on a 2 stroke your constantly changing gears and working the clutch. I love my 2 strokes tho!

Two strokes are for people who can ride, four strokes are for people who just hang on.

2023 KTM 300 2 stroke is going to change the game especially with the TBI. Consistent power, Less moving parts, and you'll still have your two stroke sound

2 stroke bikes are slightly less predictable... but once you master them they're certainly more rewarding to ride. I prefer my 4 stroke bikes though. Get a lot more seat time before you need to split the case. To each his own, I like em both.

I started on a 4 stroke then I hopped on my friends 1997 cr80r 2 stroke it was so much more lively than the 2021 ssr 150 that I started on

Hey Tyler, I’m the kid that was on the 150r at switchback MX. I just wanted to say that you helped my riding A LOT. But unfortunately I ended up crashing on the finish line jump and got a concussion. But thank you so much I’m gonna keep using those drills.

Two stokes love to live in power band. In trails I used to carry a spare spark plug bc it’s easy to foul them at low rpm. I’ll always love 2 strokes my cr250 was probably my favorite dirt bike ever but 4 strokes are fantastic. The torque and feeling planted is so nice

Bingo, Thanks . I grew up working on cars and 2-Strokes and I would love to have a modern 4-STROKE and do my own maintenance . They Technology today is amazing compared to the good old days . I got on a New bike and can Rip on it and the plush suspension makes they the most comfortable bikes in the world . Can't wait to see what comes next .

Been on 2 strokes my whole life. Raced AMA motocross in 88-89 on a 88 rm250. The only 4 stroke dirt bike I ever rode was a Honda xr75 as a kid. Would love to try a 450, just to see. But something about that 2 stroke powerband that is addictive, lol.

2-stroke produces more overall power than a 4-stroke of the same displacement. take the ktm 150 2-stroke as an example... 150cc, 42hp - STOCK. that power is on par with a 250cc 4-stroke.

Don't forget the 80s/ 90s kids growing up watching Ricky, Travis and bubba ripp them on a supercross track. Plus these modern 4 strokes are getting very expensive and complicated
