It’s been about THIRTY ONE MONTHS from this video and THIRTY THREE months since it was announced and it still hasn’t been added, it probably never will so don’t get ur hopes too high

At this point Xbox is just dead, they aren’t even trying with their studio games anymore, like Fh5 doesn’t feel as fun as fh4 or fh3 since it’s land is so stale and less alive and the city just feels dead

Tbh I’ve kinda given up on trying some Pc methods, I might just save up some pocket money and get a series X since it’s practically the only way to play these games on disc

Maybe they filed the patent not to bring this feature to the xbox series s but to stop anyone else from doing it

Update: it’s been canceled because it can be used to play pirated games to have one you need to get a third party blue ray device but I haven’t heard of any third parties that work yet

That should already be a feature to play the physical game buying an online game means you don't have a physical copy they can loan or sell but having the physical game is way better.

Remember when the Xbone was ridiculed for getting rid of the disk drive when it was announced? Why did we ever settle for consoles without the disk drive? It’s such a bedrock to actually owning the game, digital copies are nice when they go on sale, but preowned games are a much better deal.
