So, physical, digital or a mix of both?

Having a physical copy of the gane used to be fun they actually had the instruction manual. You know they would Hage instructions on how to play the game. Pictures, art, maybe some lore. Some type of backstory. They might have included a map. They would put cool art that you could flip to see from outside the gane case

Awesome video. I own games both physically and digitally. When I am buying a game, I compare prices and most of the times, physical games are cheaper. So, I lean towards physical games.

For digital games, once they're removed they can be gone forever. Activision used to have a ton of licensed games like Legend of Korra, Transformers: Rise of Cybertron and Marvel: Ultimate Alliance now they're removed from digital stores you will never be able to play them unless you already own them digitally or own a physical copy.

For games like Legend of Korra, you can't ever own it ever again unless you bought the game before Activision removed it.

I switched to digital only in 2019 and have loved it ever since. No swapping and searching for a disk I had put in a box years ago. It’s a lot better for me personally.

The best option is to have both digital & physical.. you have more choices for prices.. especially when some online stores dont actively adjust prices alongside the retail stores.
Or maybe they do, but they use it as a marketed "sale" when it's simply just not worth as much anymore.

Ive saved lots of money by getting digital or physical depending on what the official store has (if an actual sale) versus stores like amazon and wal mart that simply always list it cheaper than launch

Personally, I'm a mix of both. I think it's nice to have the collector's edition of a game in physical, with the accessories and everything. But, if I'm just getting a regular games with no extra perks, I'm gonna have to go with digital. With XBOX Game Pass and PlayStation Plus on the rise, I don't see a better option.

just buy a disk edition console regardless..
you can still buy digital games and buy second hand disks for games you'd like to experience but don't want to pay full price for..

Just remember that digital means no ownership. None of those games belong to you. You are paying just to be able to play as long as they deem you can. "you will own nothing, and you will like it". If you can avoid Digital then do it.

The whole video my thought was "Man this guy has such a good gaming setup for convenience." It's great to have all 4 platforms with such ease of access.

Speaking for console here, physical are $20-30 cheaper on day one of release compared to digital.

Owning the game is best for me, I always wait for sales especially black Friday sales, I've been a gamer since atari pong, who knew gaming would get this big

I love collecting physical games, but since I have to move to a new small place, and will need to move more in the future, I decided to go digital with Ps5 and physical with Switch, because at least the cartridges are smaller, doesn’t take much place, and easier to carry around. I may buy physical version again if it’s CE or when I have my own house to display my games

I prefer digital, because It is more portable and you can jump from one game to another in a few seconds you don’t have to change any disc or cartridges, moreover your games gets update from time to time, however due to beauty of physical games such as the front cover or some of them comes with especial edition, then I get physical version too . This is only with my favorite games such Zelda breath of the wild .or elder ring on play station

i live in india so a game disc cost 3000 rupees and ps5 plus subscription cost 5000 rupees for 12 months so its like 10 games for less money if ur indian i recommend ps5 digital

Both, but definitely leaning more towards physical because it feels like you actually own the game, and will for the foreseeable future, so long as you don't scratch or damage your media. Nintendo is shutting down their 3DS shop March 2023 so there's proof enough that digital doesn't always stick around forever. If you really love a game, buy physical AND digital.

I spent all my ps4 era buying digital copies conly. Now with a ps5 I started buying physical copies because I miss when I was wounger and had a ps1 and nintendo 64 and had all the cases.
I only got a ps5 few weeks ago and only have 3 games which are Demons Souls, R&C Rift Apart and Miles Morales. I platinumed Elden Ring digital but still want to get the physical copy someday.

For me it depends on the console. For example, starting with the PS4, I am all digital. I do have some physical but that was before I made this decision to go all in for that system. I have an external hard drive and no concerns with space. As for the Switch, I try to go physical if there is a physical copy available as the game does not need to pre-load which then acts more like a cartridge. Basically, if the game has to be completely loaded off the disk in order to work and you’re only using the disk for license confirmation, I would 100% go with the digital copy instead.

About Nr 5. You have more control to perserve the physical game than perserving the digital game. For digital game - publisher have more control over your digital games, like The Crew situation.
