Aang vs Amon

For those of you who actually read this, aang has no access to his avatar state for the fight

Honestly I'm a firm believer that only an avatar can defeat amon

Amon is probably the 2nd strongest character in the legend of korra 2nd only to Vatu simply because of his blood bending and the only way to break free of it is the be a stronger blood bender or be the avatar this man was a different breed

Aang was a 12 year old, so it's not completely fair to compare their IQs. In the show his philosophy was rather wise already, whilst amon only knows how to manipulate an audience. He's basically the Hitler of the Avatar world.

Aang couldn't break out of Yakone's bloodbending without temporarily going into the Avatar state. Amon is a much stronger bloodbbender than Yakone. I will assume Amon's skill with Blood Bending is higher than his skill with actual water Bending, even if you ahve to be a talented water bender to even blood bend.
If we are talking end if series Aang, Amon wins. If its ADULT Aang, then Aang wins. I'm confident he could still break out of the blood bending with the Avatar state and manage to steal Amon's bending

Some people forget that Amon was able to break free of blood bending without anyone's help which makes him such a fascinating character. Especially since he figured out a way to block someone's chi so they can't bend forever too.

Also if it was no Avatar State Amon would win for sure. IMO of course

Didn’t Amon get beat by an korra who just learned airbending? Imagine a master who’s avatar state can level cities. Once he breaks the grip of blood bending it’s over for Amon, not to mention Aangs more creative with his fighting style. He could use his mouth the create a wind vortex capable of extinguishing a volcanoe, he can easily defeat amon

Blood bending is the only reason why Amon is winning.
But if Aang takes him by surprise as he is more agile. Or through earth bending. He would show up on his back or front. And energy bent, Amon would not be able to move. And no bending means no blood bending.
I think Aang would do this if they fought with prep.

Korra managed to free her self from Amon's bloodbending using air attacks. Given the skills of Aang in Airbending in ATLA, I bet he would still have a chance at beating Amon though higher diff.

I think personally that battle iq goes to Aang and also getting rid of avatar state I think is stupid because it is apart of their power and their best version of them selves so for aang in this video not being in prime and no avatar state I understand it

As much as I like Atla more, I think Korra's villians, excluding Unalaq, are much better and more memorable enemies. Especially Amon and Zaheer.
