Now that I am thinking about it, I do believe Tony's suit is actually stronger. In Infinity war, Thanos one punched Black Panther and he went to sleep mode like a kitten. But Iron man took many punches right in the face and didn't sleep and that after he's withstood the power stone full power and a moon to top it all off.

Black panther vs thanos lasted one second. There was a long ass fight sequence between stark and thanos. I guess that pretty much settles any debate.

The video shows Civil War panther not upgraded Black Panther movie suit. Tony's suit was designed for space threats, Panther defense of Wakanda. Very different purposes.

We need to remember what those suits were created for. Tony has been preparing for some kind of invasion after the events of the first avengers film. He didn't who or what but he knew he needed to be prepared. Making use of the alien tech as a baseline for what he should prepare for, he upgraded and kept upgrading learning from each encounter. After iron man 1 his suits could survive higher altitudes until eventually even forming an airtight suit capable of brief stints in space (finished those upgrades after avengers 1). After being attacked on the race track he needed his suits to be more automated. Capable of coming to his aid after iron man 2. He used the automated iron man suits seen in iron man 3 to make his crowd control suits in age of ultron. Later on in civil war his suit was infiltrated by ant man and he was not fast enough to catch Rhodes. So he made a nanotechn suit to ensure no threat no matter how small could mess with his suit and even upgraded it to move faster. (Idk how). And the iron spider suit would even have a parachute installed.

Now the black panther suit is more grounded in terms of its purpose. T'challa and shuri were not prepping for any kind of alien threat unlike Tony. Instead their interests were ensuring wakandan safety. The suit was made with their beliefs in their panther god in mind.


While the nanotechn suit is objectively stronger than the black panther suit, it's important to note they were constructed and designed for different objectives in mind.

His suit could've cracked when Thor hit moljnier at him but when Tony removed his mask the nanotech would've moved to the damaged places at that time which would've fixed any cracks and other damage. This was shown in Spiderman: No Way Home when peters suit repaired itself using Peter's mask and transferring the mask nanotech to the more vulnerable part which was where Doc Oc was stabbing at (his chest)

Idea for the ultimate versatile suit two layers of protection

The first layer is the nanotech suit with minor upgrades and a slightly odd shape

The second layer (outside)

Vibrainium folds and moulds nicely on nanotech suit, adding a layer of shock and kinetic absorption combined with the nanotech powers could add an ultimate versatile set two layers of protection plus kinetic absorption its such a good combo

It is impossible to name all possible combo attacks you could do with that kind of suit

The black panther suit is nanotechnology as well. The nites are Microscopic robots that link together to form his suit. The fact that they do not configure into other devices is about programming. They are also stored in the necklace around his neck and then deployed to covered the panther’s entire body.

The nanotech suit is made by Shuri during the black panther 1. When T'chala announced that he will share their knowledge and technology, Tony Start acquired the nanotech to his suit in infinity war. Whew.
