...but I can’t help but think back to the first time Tony tried to fly into space.

that moment when you realized tony added the parachute system in the iron spider suit because of what happened to Rhodey in civil war. Rhodey got paralyzed because his suit failed and he had no parachute system to save him.

In Endgame, Tony actually had an option to stay with his family and lead a good life with his daughter and Wife. But he chooses to fight for the lives of others leaving behind all the happiness and good life he has with his family. In the End when everything got back to normal, Tony was the only one who lost it all as a man, but still won as a Hero.

Are we going to ignore how fast Peters suit got to him??? The rocket where his suit was in had to travel from basically sea level all the way to where that flying donut was at passing Ironman which had to use an extra boost to catch up to it almost in outer space 😳
