Never in my life did I imagine I would be mesmerized by sheep shearing. Yet here I am. Your narrration, the cadence of your speech and the timbre of your voice is so hypnotic for me.

Lass, you are a very clean Shearer. I am talking about no cuts. I worked in a 12 stand shed in western Queensland, Australia, shearing around 100 thousand Merinos. One man there would pink them all over, and the rest of the blokes got faster and rougher! Quite a few nicks, but that may be because of struggling sheep, skin wrinkles, etc. Anyway, nice to watch you in action.

Just wanted to comment.
Coming from NZ, now living in Canada, I find watching your videos taking me back in time. I lost a friend from my early 20’s, Jimmy Todd, who was an amazing shearer. I watch him a few times in shearing and in shearing competitions. Like you, he had a way with sheep, there was a connection and of coarse talent and professionalism.

The color is really beautiful - stunning. It is so nice to hear your appreciation for the sheep.

My older kids showed sheep. Never did the instructor show how to sheer them so well, with no nicks or cuts. Love to watch you and your discussions.

I have immense respect for you to provide such an important service, with such care for the animals and attention to detail, and while educating and entertaining us. Very few people contribute to their communities in such significant ways anymore. Thank you!

Why am I so relaxed after watching this young lady practice her craft? The animals? The soothing narration? Yeah, all of that AND she always teaches us something!!

That is indeed extremely good-looking wool. It looks everything as valuable as you say it is, we're totally taking your word for it

I've watched these vids for a while. I'm in Perth area, and I hope you continue to help/shear these wonderful animals. If you're ever south of Perth, would like to offer a meal & tea. xx

Thank you for your awesome shorts, and especially thanks for talking about the fleeces, their quality, and making roving for spinners! My Mom was a textile artist her entire life, including spinning, weaving, and knitting, and this just makes my heart sing. Also to people interested in sheep, fleece, and the art that comes from them, try and find a local fiber arts festival near you! An example is the Black Sheep Gathering, which takes place in Oregon. Cheers!
