One of the nicest people I know has a really messy house because she lets her kids do arts and crafts throughout the whole house. She entertains a lot but no one minds the mess.

I can't tell if this guy is listing traits you shouldn't trust or smth, or signs of ADHD, so just gonna put this out there, don't forget that ppl with ADHD, while disorganised, often late, and sometimes weird in social situations, are most often honest and passionate ppl.

The cleanest people are the meanest. This lady spilled and burnt my sister's foot with hot coffee at work. Instead of the lady apologizing, she said "wow Renee! Look at my floors! You got them dirty!" And started screaming at my sister. My sister had burns all over her leg and foot. She had to go to the E.R. and take medication for her burns for 2 months. I've met too many "neat freaks" who place their cleanliness at a higher value over people's safety.

I use observation all the time. This is more a method for being careful than judgmental. You meet someone who is pleasant and nice on the facade but you still feel something’s off then maybe observe the other less obvious things about them. I have a friend who is very nice but does over the top make up daily, does not flush the toilet and has a very messy desk and car. Does not mean she is a bad person but her behavior paints a careless or indifferent type of attitude which is not far from the truth actually. Knowing this, I have been more careful with sharing personal information with her or entrusting her with valuable things. Ultimately, this helps manage my expectations about her and keep our friendship on good terms.
