I started my business part-time in 2009 while working full-time outside of my home. In October 2014, I realized that I was almost to the point of matching my full-time employment income. In order to really grow the business, giving it the final push to get it to the place I needed it to be (because we all know that gross & net income are very different), I spent several nights a week and weekends using my "spare" time to market, put my programs & processes in place, build a website, etc. It was a difficult pace but one I knew had a very clear goal and I made it fun. Building a business should be fun coupled with the hard work --- after all, you are doing something you love! My family was very understanding and backed me 100% in my goal to launch my full-time business services firm. Now, over two years later, I find that I am doing what I love and I am so glad that I made the decision to stop being someone's employee.

Awesome Evan! Stumbled on "you" few days back and loving it. I have a great salary at my IT job but I hate going to work everyday. Started a online grocery store 2 years back. Had to close it as grocery had very thin margin and required lot of capital just for logistics. Just 1 question - is it necessary to have a business partner to start an ecommerce business or one can do single? I am having hard time finding a partner as passionate as I am. Thanks!
