They’ll put their focus on the power center of the group. WOW. Very good observation.

i was definitely NOT the power-center of the group. I was the most empathetic/ sensitive one. But he still had to make my life hell. Glad i never see that sob anymore.

Working the room! Perfect description of him. Always looking for the “cute girls” in it!

I actually recently recognised a narcissistic person only because he was talking incessantly for 2 hours and won't let me leave. I was partly polite and partly sensing the narc so didn't want to cause injury to his pride. He kept jumping from one topic to other trying to get me to believe him and pave way for future communication. That day I also recognised the lifeless energy of their surroundings. Something very apparent to me.

Narcissist normally are nice to everyone but then collect supply to shift the power center to see if they can catch the most powerful. Narcissists hate rejection

The trouble with narcissists in my opinion and experience is that it has to be ABOUT THEM. If it’s NOT ABOUT THEM, then forget it! They are just NOT interested.

Truly, there is one way to find out and it is truly the only way to find out if someone is a narcissist and that is to see how they respond when you tell them about something that requires empathy. They can mimic it so you have to watch out. They do not know right from wrong so sometimes you won't know until you're in a personal friendship or relationship with them.

My ex always looked right through me. He wouldn't even look at me during moments of intimacy.

I said that to my ex malignant narc husband.
You don't look at people you look through them is what I said to him he never replied to me. That was years ago I said that .
Glad you said that.!!!

Its true. They seek the most liked r popular and try to take their place by mimicking them mirroring them. Then they start playing their evil games. 😢

Yes!! My husband has always turned our standing conversations so he can talk to me but his eyes are always beyond me. I challenge my instincts by trying to slowly turn my body around to force him to turn with me, so he continues facing me when talking and he doesn’t. We end up side-by-side because he will not turn.

But not the covert ones? It’s very difficult, at least for me to spot a covert narcissist. They are like chameleons until you are hooked.

They are smooth as butter, they can be rich & creamy, melt you like butter, butter you up or whipped butter.
They can cream you before your own eyes 👀 without you seeing, knowing or awareness. They are sweet, savoury & slippery.

This interview is quite possibly the worst I’ve heard on how serious narcissistic abuse can be. My ex was nice to everyone socially and abusive as hell to me behind closed doors to the point everyone thought he was a good guy. He was not arrogant in public either. He lead double triple lives. The manipulation was insane. It’s been hell recovering and I’ve been stalked the past year.

Honestly it’s emotionally painful to realize how many people I know that are like this

To say all narcissists are outwardly arrogant and rude to service people is utter nonsense. Some are, but many are smarter than that, they don’t want you to think they’re an as$hole so they’re on their best behavior in public. It’s behind the scenes the abuse and manipulation takes place.
