Please watch: "The ONE Thing Every Christian Should Be Doing But Most Are NOT!"
How can you identify pride in your life? Are you or those around you slowly turning into modern-day Pharisees? The first sin in the Bible was pride. God hates pride. Pride can show up in our lives in very subtle ways. In this video I take a detailed verse-by-verse look at Matt. 23 and identify 3 ways we can tell that pride is in our lives and how we can tell if we are a modern-day pharisee.

I hate the sin I commit, and I don’t want to hurt you anymore Heavenly Father. Continue to work in my life and change my ways. I don’t want to lose you, or do what you hate from here on out.

I'm glad that there's someone addressing this instead of just calling someone "lukewarm".

I definitely need help with pride. I stopped playing the piano for churches because I noticed that I was doing it for money and to be seen. Until recently, I was "pretending" to be Christian, because I was in church all the time (never read my Bible). However, I went to be seen. Now, I am reading my Bible and learning things. I feel like I am growing, but part of me is still very prideful.

Answering the question of the day: I noticed big time pride creeping into my life. I was being publicly recognized for my postings and videos about God and for some reason in 2018 I let it get to my was humbled by the Lord. Still working on it, in fact I believe still may be in that process right now. So knowing this, i now often think of the temptation people like yourself, pastors, or famous Christian Speakers/ singer, or anyone in the spotlight may have. That temptation to puff yourself up is REAL. May the Lord guard every servant of His that is in the spotlight of some kind.

This is a good video. I do have necklaces and earrings that have a cross on it but I don't wear it out of pride. I just wear it to glorify Christ. I walk around alot of unbelievers everyday and when they see my jewelry with a cross I want them to be reminded of Christ. I just want my life to be more of Jesus and less of me

Internally.... the LIGHT is within.
Do things that are meaningful to you.
Shine.
Be the best version of yourself.
God is proud of the person you are becoming.
Be mindful in the present moment.
God's gift is the present moment.
Love & be kind, Humankind, to yourselves & eachother.

After a late night staying up talking to my wife I asked her to point out a blind spot of mine and she said it was pride. OUCH. I truly needed to hear that.

Lord, thank you for loving a sinner such as me.

You resist the proud and give grace to the humble.

I have been reciting this scripture lately in Proverbs 8:13. "The fear of the Lord is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate"
To answer your question: I have achieved many great things in my life or had great opportunities God has given me. But I sometimes boast about what I have done or how people cannot see that I am great for achieving that. I feel that Allen Parr has answered my question of pride. I can see it all the time in human nature, around my friends and family. It is so hard to realise this yourself because you are so caught up about that everything is about you. Pride is such a hard thing to stop as we only think about ourselves and how we can stand out in a selfish way around people. This does not mean to have no confidence in yourself but more of how much we take for granted just because of what we have or have done. It distracts us from God and it sets selfish motives. It's good to be proud of youself for what you have done, but it shouldn't be something that is always thought of or put forward and expressed all the time.

I've been struggling with self-righteous recently. I needed this. Thank you for reminding me of how much I need Jesus.

I like the Billy Graham says . It's our Job to Love . It's the Holy Spirit to convict and God to Judged

This is an excellent video....always good to keep each other in check.... Another indicator of pride is when I see other Christians purposely starting arguments or "holy wars" with atheists or person not rooted in the faith. I believe that if a Christian sincerely was concerned about the person they would privately pray for them or answer belief questions in a more reactive than defensive way

This was excellent! You hit the nail right on the head and drove it home. I know for myself I must always question and examine my motivations and actions. I can be doing all the right things for all the wrong reasons. The greatest reward is to do a good deed in secret and have it discovered by accident.

I guess I'm a year late, but this is a great video. Pride can go undetected for a long time, and then sneak up on us so easily. As a worship leader, singer, and guitarist, this is something that is a constant struggle. I can sing or play a worship song, seemingly with pure heart. Then all it takes is one person saying something like "man...you were awesome" and I can find myself wanting to hear more and more of this. I'm sure that pastors even struggle with the same things.

Good word! Some of these pastors are not preaching the whole truth.... They instead preach crowd pleasing messages. Keep spreading the good news MOG🙏🏾

Never saying sorry or saying sorry and adding a “but”. Everyone else is wrong, but you. You see the specked in your brothers eye, but not that log sticking out of your eye 👀

That’s why god looks at the heart and not outward appearances because he knows why we do things we do

Wow this really opened my eyes to how I do things to be seen. We can’t be the meek people God wants us to be if we are prideful. Thank you Allen for doing the Lord’s work

Great message dear brother, from Jesus. So thankful to the Lord for your great love for God and His people.

I had to step away from public worship because of the pride was overflowing with comments like
" Don't we have the best church in the world" or "Don't we have the best praise and worship team in the world"

It was not being humble at all. I for one love to live unnoticed an it was very uncomfortable to me. Then it went on to bashing people especially homosexuals. I just couldn't take it anymore. I even made many attempts to bring this to their attention. But I was told it was their church. So my husband and I left. Now everyone thinks we are being judgmental.

But I noticed that we were starting to become more like the world and less like Christ. It was unattractive and was not loving.

May the Lord continue to bless you abundantly for speaking biblical truth to set those who are in bondage to this world free. God bless ❤️
