And then they say _I'm_ passive aggressive??
Blows my mind.

The second one, until the end of the skit I had no idea what was going on and was so confused. 🤣🤣

I LOVE being straightforward with NO malice or hidden meanings. It’s so relaxing and it just works so much better.

This is so relatable, people make no sense sometimes 😂

Maybe even worse is when you say something directly and they read all sorts of hidden meaning into it and get mad at you for things you literally didn't say or intend to convey.

I love the Dutch directness, this really works well for my autism since us Dutchies are very direct. We’re not gonna say “I would love some chips right now” when you’re holding some. We will ask if we can have some. Or we’ll say I want some. Nothing better for autistics than directness

one time me (autistic) and a friend (also autistic) were on a voice call together and we were talking and they asked if I would be okay ending the call since their social battery was a little low. and tbh I really appreciated that they said what they meant I wish all interactions could be like that

Exactly! Just SAY what you want!!! 🤷‍♀️ we’re not mind readers!

The Uno reverse where someone is always, trying to read your mind, only to interrupt you with their wrong assumptions.

I’m so glad my friends will go, “Well this was fun, but I want to go to bed so you all need to leave.” Lol

Drop the subtleties, just tell me what you F***ING WANT!

This is why I use the Italian method of goodbyes: "Okay I'm going to sleep but yall do whatever, just make sure the door is locked on the way out"

Every time this happens I feel like in a game of charades where I increasingly feel more and more stupid, useless and humiliated, and the other person grows increasingly more frustrated and angry with me.

I'm not on the spectrum and the tired thing would go over my head too. Direct communication is the best communication

The more I watch your videos, the more I realise I have probably dealt with people with Autism in the past and judged them and thought they were rude without understanding they were autistic. I got diagnosed with ADHD last year and when I look back at some of my behaviours, I understand how they came across as weird. Having being diagnosed has made me understand neurodivergents so much. The more people learn, the more we can develop empathy and understanding ❤

My sister and I came up with an agreement long ago that fixed part two. Wherever we are hanging out we will literally just say "I'm tired, go home, or I don't want to hang out anymore, you should go" honest direct and leave no room for interpretation. We both have been diagnosed with ADHD/autism spectrum disorder.

Some people find it abrasive, but by our late 20s we just stopped caring. People that know us don't take offense, people that don't know us we aren't going to worry about.

thats what society and a polite tone got us to. Someone somewhere sometime decided that just stating what we want and need was rude and it haunts us everyday.

the way i didn’t know until you explained even knowing how these skits work 😭 i was like “what could possibly be the problem with this exchange” i was on the edge of my seat and was shocked at the response

It never ceases to amaze me how adverse some people are to saying what they want.

Then sometimes I'm TOO quick to assume that they're talking in code and they get mad about THAT. And you just can't win really. 😂
