I did this accidentally one time when I bred my bettas. I missed a baby when I took them out but only saw him a few times and assumed he would get eaten. Months go by and the 2 never fought. Whenever I fed I did 2 groups of food so nobody would get greedy, and it worked great for the 4 years he lived.

If it works for now it works for now! Don’t fix it if it ain’t broke 👍. Beautiful bettas. The heavy plant growth really helps separate them and creates broken up boundaries. That must help a lot. I always love the tops of your tanks Colin. What plants do you have at the top? I see some water sprite. Are you floating that on top? Or is that planted in the back? What other plants are there at the top of the tank? I just love the look and think I want to take a page out of your book and do that on my next build 😀

I've got 3 female Betta Spendens in a 200-litre tank and a Half Moon Betta Male in a 145-litre; methinks he'll remain a bachelor. 😂

I'd imagine the dad won't tolerate the son when he becomes sexually mature. Until then it should kind of just sort itself out like it has thus far.

So I have a 55 gallon with no plants yet. I cycled it with 26 feeder fish and took them out due to the goldfish poop mess and bought some live bearers I also bought two male bettas and two female bettas and left them in their cup in the tank for almost a whole day. When I released them they seemed to have more aggression with their own reflections than each other. They only got close to each other once and never again. Idk if I’m lucky or something. The only decor in the tank is caves made from drift wood. Idk if this makes them calmer but I also put aquarium salt in my tank. I removed a lot of fish and only have the bettas and 4 live bearing fish. Still no fighting or flaring or chasing.

I went into this video saying outloud: "FIGHT, FIGHT, FIGHT" so you can imagine my dissapointment when i realized there was peace between the two. for the first 30 seconds though when I thought they were going to fight my money was on the second one. It just seemed like the obvius choice.

It's great to know and see that if they have baby's, then can coexist with one another!
I just got a Bata, and wanted to see if it was possible, but I don't know the age of him? And he is definitely a male!

I have two males, I was only supposed to have one but things happened and rescued a little one from petco, he has columnaris.. once healed I want to put them in a 55 gal long, I will have a deep soil bed, about 5 inches, and will be heavy planted.. I want to add tank mates, I was considering dividing the tank but would you advice keeping them together?

I find it so unnecessary how comments under betta fish videos go CRAZY about having two male betta fish in the same tank, like it’ll start a fish tank apocalypse 100% of the times

Wow… what about the red tail shark!! No issues?? That fish is a bully. I moved mine into 3 tanks and he would bully bigger fishes, so I gave him to a friend.

From what i get In a short dont slam 2 males in a small enclosure, they can manage keeping clear of one another in a larger tank (avoid it unless you know what your doing)
