These comments are so dumb. Yes they are aggressive and they do fight, but this is abuse because they are being put in a tiny space, where they are forced to fight. It’s not natural that they are in a plastic container, but keep lying to yourself I guess.

been looking into the betta fish community and from what i can tell theyre basically swimming hamsters.
similarities:
- solitary
- need a large tank/cage (hamsters need 80x50 betta fish owners are lucky they only need 10 gallons)
- are commonly mistreated, not big enough enclosure
- "beginner pets, easy to care for" no pet is easy to care for
